over all i had a decent day yesterday. it started kinda bingey and made a few crappy choices but then got my act together and cut off food - i know for sure i didn't eat after 4 other than had some milk of magnesia stuff about 5p and not sure if it has calories or not but my stomach was hurtin from the sugar alch's from my morning poor choices. i was 184.4 Thurs morning and then 184.8 Thurs eve before my workout. Didn't WI after my 530p Jazz and ate nothing. It's 920a now and still haven't eaten and really not even hungry. My stom still feels bloated and gross. We are having a date tonight so pushing my first food intake to later to allow for later eating this eve and still keeping the eating window smaller and fasting until tomorrow. I was down to 181.8 this morning so that's a good thing. Ready to get back down to the 170s and stay there sheesh! Happy Friday everyone!

I though surely by now my weight loss would be kicked back into gear. I got to 149 on the 7th and 9th but have been up since TOM. That started the 15th. I am gonna have to pull out the big guns and have a consult with Darin. That seems to always get the scale moving. I looked back over my menus and noticed I had added Flax meal and olive oil into my diet before I last started to lose. I dropped the flax meal and olive oil a while back because I had some problems with my stomach. My stomach seems to have recovered so I think I will try adding some back in. I also noticed that back in April when I lost well for a few day I was eating super fatty pork loin that I had cooked in the crock pot. Does anyone notice that certain foods help them lose better than others?

Hey everybody, hope your day is going well. TGIF. Still going back and forth on weigh. Today down to 227.4. That's 2 whole lbs down this month. But, then again, it's not a gain. Two lbs a month is almost 25 a year. I've got time to wait for it. Really doing well with my milk kefir and kombucha. I like the kefir better and so does my DD. I can't get her to drink the kombucha. Scared!!! But the kombucha is only 30 cal per glass and the health benefits are better I believe. I'll never go vegetarian but I am incorporating more veggies into my diet. Also, I'm going to try to sprout seeds and get the extra benefit on that. But, I'm not giving up my bacon. Everybody stay safe and have a wonderful weekend. Love ya

Does anyone notice that certain foods help them lose better than others? That is good thinking Cheryl. When you have everything else lined up, and I think you do, then hacking your menu is a great next step. Looking at the flax and EVOO nutritional info, they are both high mono-unsaturated fats so that might be why adding them seemed to work better because you must have decreased your saturated fat consumption since your calories remained about the same. Try that again but this time with an eye towards minimizing saturated fat and maximizing mono fats. You might google for high mono nuts/seeds that are LC friendly to add to your menu for variety (and fiber if you need it). Stomach issues were probably from the flax since it is all fiber. If that happens again try to decrease the flax and see how you do. I noticed that too about pork. Remember when I ate a pound of pork ribs and had a whoosh the next day? lol Crazy. Also I noticed when I was eating a ton of bacon I was doing well trending downwards. For troubleshooting it is better not to increase sat fat meat while you are trying to ramp up the mono fat sources.

I will also add some avocados. Since I am allowing 40 to 50 carbs a day it will be easier to get in mono fats. I did find that most nust and seeds are high in mono fats, but I may have to stay away from them. I tend to go overboard on nuts and peanutbutter. I was thinking you had had some whooshes eating pork. Becky said that a few times too. Thanks for the troubleshooting tip. I would surely have gone overboard. lol Ribs will be on sale for the 4th tghough so we may have to go with it. I just can't cook them worth a flip.

If you use Rick Rodger's technique you will fall over at how good the ribs come out! The book is out of print but you can pick up a used copy for $4 shipping included: www.abebooks.com/book-search/isbn/076790673x/page-1/Here is the exact method: rickrodgers.com/recipes/main-courses/ricks-famous-bbq-ribs.htmlAnd here it is in case it gets removed from his site for some reason: Rick's Famous BBQ Ribs Makes 6 to 8 servings IntroductionThis is the way I make my ribs--and the way that everyone I've taught now makes them, too. Cooking the ribs in foil first lets them simmer in their own juices while melting away the fat that causes flare-ups. It is a much more flavorful alternative to boiling the ribs first, like some people do! This can be done in the morning of your barbecue, leaving only the final glazing before serving. Ingredients 5 pounds pork spareribs, cut into slabs 1/3 cup Spicy Dry Rub 1 1/2 cups mesquite or hickory wood chips, soaked in water for 30 minutes, and drained 2 cups Rick's Famous BBQ Sauce DirectionsRub the spareribs with the dry rub. Wrap each slab tightly in a double thickness of aluminum foil. Set aside while building the fire. Build a charcoal fire in an outdoor grill and let burn until the coals are covered with white ash. For a gas grill, preheat on High, then adjust to Medium. Place the foil-wrapped ribs on the grill and cover. Cook, turning occasionally, until the ribs are tender, about 1 hour. Unwrap the ribs and set aside. Add more charcoal to the fire and let burn until medium-hot. You should be able to hold your hand at grill level for about 3 seconds. Sprinkle the drained chips over the coals. For a gas grill, adjust the heat to Low. Place the drained chips in the metal chip box. Or, wrap the chips in aluminum foil, pierce a few holes in the foil, and place on the heat source. Heat until the chips begin to smoke. Lightly oil the grill grid. Place the ribs on the grill, brush with sauce, and cover. Grill for 5 minutes. Turn, brush with more sauce. Cover and continue grilling until the ribs are glazed, about 5 more minutes. Cut between the bones into individual ribs. Serve hot, with any remaining sauce passed on the side. Spicy Dry RubCombine 2 tablespoons chili powder, 1 tablespoon garlic salt, 1 tablespoon paprika, 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper, and 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper. [NOTE: This isn't an LC sauce but I include it in case you want to use it as a starting point to make an LC version]Rick's Famous BBQ SauceIn a medium, heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons butter. Add 1 large onion, chopped, and cook over medium heat, stirring often, until the onion is golden brown. Add 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped, and cook for 1 minute. Stir in 1 cup each ketchup and American-style chili sauce, 1/2 cup each light brown sugar and cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons each steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and spicy brown mustard. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring often to avoid scorching, until thickened, about 30 minutes. Cool completely.

I have started drinking Topo Chico mineral water. Oh man I love um.
Ice cold from the fridge in a glass bottle. MAN!!
Who would have thought????
Sometimes a pop a little lemon wedge down it and drink it.
They took a little getting used to since there is no sweetness at all. But since I hate diet soda I am glad to have found them.

Hi guys!! Finally done this week and finding serious issues with eating enough/packing lunches. I'm exhausted every day too.. my stomach was messed up ALL week and couldn't really stick to NK, haven't been tracking.. I weighed 135 tonight, I bet a solid amount of that is water weight and being messed up from constipation since Monday. That finally cleared up this evening. Gonna finish my coke and get back into NK in the morning. Gah, school is so exhausting!
Brett leaves for Hawaii for work for 6 weeks on Wednesday-- tough job, right?! LOL, I'll have no problem sticking to NK while I'm gone, I think.
