Hey everybody. Hope all of you are doing well. I jut wanted to come and post about my recent experience. I finally found a tracker that I could figure out. Yay me! I was not eating enough calories and didnt even realize it. I upped my calories to 2000 and lost four pounds in a week. I would have never believed it if I had not experienced it for myself. So glad I found a tracker. I feel like I have more control now. If it weren't for you guys I would probably be stuck right now. Even though it took me a while to get with the program I am so glad I read through all of your info. Hooray Hooray!! Hooray for more food and Hooray for weight loss! So happy to hear it!!

Hey yall.. I am exhausted from school! My stomach and body were a WRECK today. Awful digestion, aches and pains. I now only look 4 months pregnant, as opposed to 6 last night, so thats good. I couldn't deal with food all day til I got home from school just now. I had 2 HB eggs and a Quest chocolate brownie bar. Needed to get in some protein even though I feel like theres no room for food. Casey, my mom has super severe gluten allergies, more sensitive than mine. She loves slippery elm. Keeps it on hand all the time. She says it helps her with stomach upset. I think you can buy it in pills. She buys a powder form and mixes it with apple sauce but it is yucky. Helps though.

Shark week started and I have mad cravings for chocolate. I got a pint of Arctic Zero frozen dessert to take the edge off. It isn't all that great but most of the low carb ice cream has maltitol, which I've learned to avoid. So Delicious sugar free is better tasting but way more expensive.
It looks like my temp job is going to last through next week. I hope it gets extended for the month of July, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

I wish we could find some supplements or something that curb those TOM cravings. EEEKKK I hope your temp job lasts too, fingers crossed.

Numbers for today: 1300 calories, 97 g fat, 75 g protein, 29 g carbs
Breakfast: bunless cheeseburger, 1 egg over easy, coffee with hwc Dinnner: bowl of chili & shredded cheese Snack: Arctic Zero cookies & cream frozen treat, coffee with hwc
Now I'm craving cheese, and all I have is a bag of shredded Mexican blend cheese. It's probably just as well because I could eat half a brick of cheddar. Maybe I'll drink a cup of broth, that will at least satisfy the salt craving.

I know what you mean, I want the weight to come off quickly but it sure is a process where you have to be in it for the long haul. I didn't realize in the past what water weight and TOM did to the scale. I would just get upset and let it ruin my day and my diet. You're doing Great!!!

Well, a bounce up to 135.8 just in time for my weight accountability appt with my doc. With clothes and shoes on, well, the scale in the doc's office wasn't very nice to me But the doc saw my frustration (and the fact that 2 days ago, I weighed 2 lbs less) and took an encouraging and instructive approach which I appreciated. We discussed my 2.5lb muscle loss and he looked at my macro numbers for the last week. His advice was to increase the protein and get back into my weight training routine to get back on track. So as annoyed as I still am with the numbers on the scale today, I am just as determined to get things turned around by this time next month.

It'll come back down Chapel Isn't it unusual to have a patient that can whip out macros like that?? heh I wonder if that is a new trend with all the iPhone and Android apps for tracking nutrition these days.

Hi all! I'm back from my hubby's family reunion. We did relatively well staying on plan but we did eat berries which could have pushed us high on the carb counts. I think I may be retaining water from the 12 hour car ride...we will see how the scale moves over the next few days.
This am I was at 189.9. So about 2 lbs up from my low.

So here's what I'm thinking about daily goal macros for this month, given my goal to regain the 2.5lbs of muscle I lost in the last 6-8 weeks. I know they aren't the typical NK macros but I'm wondering what you think.
Daily calories = 1250-1550
* Protein - 30% (94-116g) * Carbs - 10% (31-39g) * Fat - 60% (83-103g)
I know I am not addressing activity level, which will ramp up fast in the next couple of weeks, I think...

Ok I feel better. Only up 1 # to 227.2. I'll keep going. I don't know why I suddenly thought bread wouldn't hurt me. Stupid! My kefir is ready. Had a glass this morning w/1t raw honey and 1 egg yolk. Kind of a mini- smoothie. It worked great and is totally on my plan. Calorie wise it's about 200 cal. The sugar in the kefir is pretty much eaten up. My kombucha will be ready tomorrow or so. So easy to make. And only about 20-40 cal a glass. I'm looking for my health to really rev up on both of these. I will so totally keep you informed on this. My kids are tired of hearing me talk about it. ha

hi everyone! need to catch up on the board big time! went out of town this last weekend with my SO and had a great time. ate too much and now of course i'm dodging the scale had a heavy workout lifting/deadlifts/squats on Sun afternoon at my campus gym and it about wiped me out so took Mon off as rest day and took this morning off too and not sure about plans for fitness tonight, may just do a walk with my mini weenie Tito to at least get back to moving. Those miniature dachshunds are so cool. My Mom has one and my brother has one. They are real characters. My Mom's is almost like a poodle with the way she runs the house lol. And she has this growl that sounds like the Tasmanian Devil from Bugs Bunny. Is your's afraid of loud noises??? Both of these two are. Thunder storms and fireworks will get them panicky. Heck, Mom's dog doesn't wait for the actual noise to get panicky. If she sees it clouding over she gets nervous and starts panting. Yeah, my little guy is yappy/jumpy/nervous all the time. He's a rescue - when we got him he was bones so he has food issues we have to watch for - he gets pretty worked up any time there's food around. If I'm eating and he's around he will flip out at someone if they approach me because he thinks they will get food and he won't. I try not to feed him people food much anyway but he still acts crazy. He also rarely eats when I'm not around. I will kennel him with food/water some days and he won't touch it until I'm in his presence then he pigs out. If I walk out the room and he's alone he will stop eating. What a character for sure! He now comes in at a whopping 7 lbs - he's a really little guy but has chunked up a bit and looks MUCH better now, thankfully! He's a smart little guy and stubborn! He's so darn cute so I just ignore the barking but we are still trying to work on his behaviors and some days he does much better than other days LoL. He doesn't really do too bad at storms, it's more just regular noises, cars outside, people coming to the door gets him wound up. He used to run off if he got out with no leash but now he uses the back yard well without leash and still comes back in the door for a treat so he's learning Who could resist loving this little guy!?

ended up not sticking to IF yesterday and over ate on LC foods. made bacon and ground hamburger, it was yum. then ate 2 SF pudding cups with cool whip...can't really remember if there was more, ugg. late night stress from working is my lame excuse. still not getting on the scale so not even sure if it really did much damage in the end since still LC. Today had .5 oz bacon fat, 3.3oz egg whites, 1.8oz yolks with real salt for breakfast at 7a. later had 2 big cups of coffee with SF creamer in one cup then the other cup was HWC with liquid stevia. didn't measure the creamer but eyeballed it and usually make pretty good estimates on that since drink that stuff often. my last meal for today is 6.1 oz ground burger (was supposed to eat this in 2 serv but the coffee kept me from being hungry for the burger at meal 2) with real salt, going to have some more HWC for dessert in coffee to get fat total up. So, end of eating window will be 3p for 8 hour window today. next meal will be thurs morning. i know i can stick to it, done it before - just have to stand firm tonight and stay out the kitchen!!! estimated stats (some stuff was measured out though...) for today totals: fat 127 protein 70 carbs 18 76.4548495 % 18.72909699 % 4.816053512 % No work out Mon or Tues :eek:really need to get my booty back to Jazz so goal is for Thurs 545a class
