Fun story for you guys.. So, I've got a severe, SEVERE gluten allergy. Makes eating out a pain in the butt. I was so excited when the guy at Barberitos (kind of like Chipotle), told me they grill peppers an onions on a separate part of the grill from the tortillas, so its completely gluten-free. "Hurray!" I thought to myself. I enjoyed my taco bowl and thought, "Hey, maybe having a wheat allergy isn't so bad." 30 minutes later, a full-body rash and THIS happened: I feel like my allergy is laughing in my face right now. Pretty safe to say I'm out of ketosis judging by the size of my stomach. So I go to Barberito's site and there is nothing about separate equipment for gluten-free. Everything thats gluten-free there is on SHARED EQUIPMENT, so it kinda cancels out the GF-ness of it all. What is the point?!?! Whoa! Good Lord! Does your belly distend like that anytime you eat any gluten??? I take it your fiancée has never seen any of the Alien movies.

Oh I've used Sparkrecipes and it's great, but I still have to guess at how many servings a recipe will yield if it's something I'm making up on the fly. I might plug in the numbers later and try to come up with a reasonable # of servings. I used 2 lbs of ground beef, 16 oz tomato sauce, a 15 oz can of pinto beans, plus chili powder, garlic, salt & pepper. I expect to get at least 6 servings out of it, probably more like 7 or 8. I had a bowl of chili with a cut up hot dog and shredded cheese for dinner. I'm still a little hungry, not sure what else I'm going to eat. I got pre-cooked bacon yesterday because it was on sale for $2.50 per package - not a bad deal. I might heat up a slice or two and cook an egg to go with it. The way I do it is create the full recipe and then make the serving size 1oz. Then when I log it I weigh out however many ounces I am going to eat. It works really well if you are the only person eating the dish and you eat it over a day or two's time because the protein/fat/carbs will average out, iykwim.

cg037 OMG that stinks. I feel your pain. I have just about given up eating out all together. I have dealt with the waiters that lie about it and the ones that are just down right hateful about it. Now even fajitas at Mexican restaurants make me sick. When the family mentions eating out I say, you guys go ahead I am not interested. The only thing I eat out is a bun less burger at Wendy's and Hardees LC burger. Benadryl may help the rash but could make waking up tomorrow tough. Does it make your joints and body ache? Sounds miserable, feel better soon!

So a little bounce up today, back to 135. But I ran some this morning 2 min walking, 1 min running for 28 min. The last minute running I got the speed up to 6 mph and it still felt OK. I went over the PT's recommended max running time for a session (OK, so I doubled it ), but I'm icing the knee to make up for it. BTW, Darin, I asked the PT what he thought about the muscle loss. He said muscle loss is pretty normal in that circumstance but that 2.5lbs of loss was about the max you would want to see in that short a time off. I suppose I should have kept my protein intake a bit higher the last 2 months to maintain muscle mass better. But I'm making this claim now: one month from now, I will have regained that muscle mass--all 2.5 lbs of it. And no net weight gain to go with it I think I can do it...

hi everyone! need to catch up on the board big time! went out of town this last weekend with my SO and had a great time. ate too much and now of course i'm dodging the scale had a heavy workout lifting/deadlifts/squats on Sun afternoon at my campus gym and it about wiped me out so took Mon off as rest day and took this morning off too and not sure about plans for fitness tonight, may just do a walk with my mini weenie Tito to at least get back to moving. ate off plan Mon morning and def kicked self outta NK. fasted from like 1p yesterday to 930a today with no troubles and for breakfast had a big meal of 4.1 oz top sirloin roast with 2 tbsp salted butter, added real salt then had 4 oz HWC in coffee. this is meal 1 of 2 and plan to eat again about 1230-1p which is 4 oz roast, 2 tbsp butter, real salt. it's all measured out and ready to go. in order to get my salt in i'm going to be eating REALLY salty roast later...i'm not a fan of the broth i was using after reading the ingredients so trying to just supplement salt with the "real salt" i bought at Nat Groc. i'm probably going to have to have some salt water later today ugg that is gross but still better than the junk they put in the broth i'm finding. so after my 2nd meal here is what i will have eaten today: fat 134 protein 65 carbs 4 81.37651822 % 17.54385965 % 1.079622132 % 3,731mg sodium roughly 1480 calories total and last meal by 1 so that i can fast until my first meal on Wed. hoping everyone has a great Tuesday! congrats on losses - heading back to the board now to read everyone's updates

Those miniature dachshunds are so cool. My Mom has one and my brother has one. They are real characters. My Mom's is almost like a poodle with the way she runs the house lol. And she has this growl that sounds like the Tasmanian Devil from Bugs Bunny. Is your's afraid of loud noises??? Both of these two are. Thunder storms and fireworks will get them panicky. Heck, Mom's dog doesn't wait for the actual noise to get panicky. If she sees it clouding over she gets nervous and starts panting.

Hey everybody. Hope all of you are doing well. I jut wanted to come and post about my recent experience. I finally found a tracker that I could figure out. Yay me! I was not eating enough calories and didnt even realize it. I upped my calories to 2000 and lost four pounds in a week. I would have never believed it if I had not experienced it for myself. So glad I found a tracker. I feel like I have more control now. If it weren't for you guys I would probably be stuck right now. Even though it took me a while to get with the program I am so glad I read through all of your info.

Hey yall.. I am exhausted from school! My stomach and body were a WRECK today. Awful digestion, aches and pains. I now only look 4 months pregnant, as opposed to 6 last night, so thats good. I couldn't deal with food all day til I got home from school just now. I had 2 HB eggs and a Quest chocolate brownie bar. Needed to get in some protein even though I feel like theres no room for food.
