Ooo--so tantalizingly close to the 120s I'll be in the morning. D14/HCG I registered another .6 gone to 131. Not going to go crazy about making it officially. Glad to have the total of 6 pounds gone in the last two weeks. Yea!
A sister is in town, staying at Mom's for me, coming over this morning to help me finish up my kitchen backsplash. And I've got to get the lawn mowed today, too. It's awful. Even I think it is bad. Singing a few songs of jazz tomorrow night at a jazz jam. Fun!

Should we start a new thread for September? I'll do the intro post if clueless doesn't get around to it. Maybe her internet is down again. I ate a lot of food on Friday, not all of it was low carb but did not eat past fullness. There was also tequila. I've been reading about egg fasts on the ketogenic woman blog. I love eggs and thought about doing the fast over the weekend, but I have chicken and ground beef to use up. I put the chicken in my slow cooker this morning with half a jar of salsa verde, kind of a lazy texmex stew. I might cook another cheeseburger quiche with the ground beef, but make it less calorific by using half & half instead of heavy cream and reduce the amount of mayonnaise.

The salsa verde chicken turned out really good! I started it out on high heat in the slow cooker, but probably should have kept it at low the whole time because it was done in under 2 hours. This is why I'm hesitant to leave food in the slow cooker for hours while I'm out of the house. It was a small amount of chicken though, only a pound.
I'm not tracking macros but am fairly certain I stayed under 20 g carbs today. I kind of did things backward and drank bulletproof coffee for my last meal. Drinking it for breakfast just leaves me hungry and I wind up eating anyway. I prefer to eat a protein rich breakfast and get more fat later in the day.
Breakfast - coffee with hwc & gelatin, eggs and sausage cooked in butter
Lunch - salsa verde chicken with shredded cheese, chile lime pork rinds
Snack - 2 squares 85% dark chocolate
Dinner - coffee blended with coconut oil, hwc, and gelatin

I leave my slow cooker on slow all the time when I am away from the house. On low, the theory is the food won't over cook. What kind of salsa verde did you use? You are doing great Bunniee.
I am happy for you to start a September thread....
Was around wine and "not my food" this afternoon and had no difficult in ignoring it. I did have one strawberry. My sis and I did finish up (mostly) the backsplash project. Yea! I pushed the lawnmower a little. Tomorrow was my own mini-goal of losing 7+ pounds by tomorrow. I was at 6 this morning. So close! The probability of the scale showing another 1+ pound gone tomorrow is slim and none....and slim is out of town! I am okay with it though. I will eat off protocol tomorrow evening some plus a glass of wine. Then I will keep doing at least another week of HCG. Supposed to do a minimum of 21 days. Today was day 14.

Hey! Happily close to the goal I had set for this morning. The goal was anything in the 120s and the scale said 130.2. I am not disappointed at all. We soldier on. Yea!

I used Herdez brand salsa verde. Ingredients are green tomatillos, onions, serrano peppers, salt, and cilantro. It is not too spicy, at least to my tastebuds. I was a little hungry last night but not so much that I couldn't resist snacking. I had trouble sleeping, which may have been due to TOM starting. I'm going to make the cheeseburger quiche today. It makes 6-8 servings, so I'll have that to eat for lunch or dinner this week along with the leftover salsa chicken. I also have a package of Coleman's chicken parmesan meatballs - they are gluten free, no bread crumbs. I'm going to try them with shirataki noodles and a little marinara, but will fix the noodles separately in case I don't like them. I'll start the September thread later today if Cheryl doesn't get to it first.
