Beach pictures are a great idea. You could also get some cocoa butter or some tanning lotion to smell while you visualize your skinny self walking on the beach.
Oooh. Adding scent to my motivation! Very Smart. Might have to be closer to Margarita scent! Ha!

My Monday was so crazy! But I stayed on plan. Today is just as busy at work but I'm staying in during lunch to make up for DD's dentist appointment this morning (3 teeth pulled-poor girl).
Monday's numbers: Cals 1222 Fat 93.34 Carbs 48.88 Prot 47.67
B- Coffee w/ WHC & CO L- Chicken taco salad D- Salmon, broccoli, tartar sauce
Tuesday's numbers: Cals 1090 Fat 82.23 Carbs 30.42 Prot 53.48
B- Coffee w/ HWC & CO L- Soup & salad, water D- brisket, parmesan crisps, water S- SF Jello
WI: 282.4
I felt munchy last night but didn't cave in because I wasn't hungry. Just watching DH eat chips and junk.
DH out of town for a while so the LC dinner possibilities have opened up.

My eating has gotten off track the last couple of days. I've been eating up whatever is in the fridge and pantry, partly because I'm moving soon and also I'm kind of broke. I'll get back to eating low carb after my next paycheck.

I have stopped chewing gum for a bit. I've been at it pretty much nonstop for several weeks and my weight continues to hold where it is. So it's an experiment for me to see if anything changes in a week and then two. My eating is spot on most of the time.

I had a planned cheat day yesterday since it was my wedding anniversary. I'm not sure that's really a good excuse to cheat, though. I'm paying for it today. My guts are bloated and hurting!

Happy Anniversary. If a cheat day is in order, that would be a great reason for it. Sorry for the cheat-hangover. I occasionally think I can have beer on my cheat days and SOOOO regret it the next day.

Happy Thursday! I am feeling GREAT!
I leave for mini vacay with kids after work and am excited. I am thinking of buying a pedometer to see how much I walk during this trip. Do you think I should just buy a cheap one at the drug store or go to the sports store and buy a serious one? I’m starting with curiosity but will want to turn it into a competition with myself to walk just a few more steps each day.
My carbs are slightly off because I got confused on my pizza portions and didn’t log it until after it was eaten. Oh well. I had a loss today.
Cals 1302 Fats 83.26 Carbs 54.94 Prot 82.19
B- Coffee w/ HWC & CO L- boiled eggs, cheese, almonds, pickles, protein shake D- LC-ish pepperoni pizza, water WI 281.4
I was going to bring left over pizza for lunch as I’m trying to pack lunch instead of eat out, but I want to go really low carb during the day so I have wiggle room for dinner on the road. So I told DD to throw it away! Me! Throw away perfectly good food! (Well, I cheated and made her throw it away, but still-progress)
Any more ideas for non-refrigeratable LC snacks? Nuts, Jerky/pepperoni sticks, …

Or a psycho-sematic symptom? I'd be curious to hear your results. No matter what, I hope the scale moves (down) soon for you.

Storytha, sometimes the sweeteners like xylitol can interfere with weight loss. I don't know that it is for me and thus the reason for the experiment. I have been chewing A LOT of gum so it would be good for a break in any case...It's a big mile stone to be able to throw food away. I've gotten to where I revel in it when the opportunity presents itself. I feel powerful when I do. Even though eventually cheese sticks need refrigerating, you can eat them hours after they have been out of the fridge without concern.

Do you think I should just buy a cheap one at the drug store or go to the sports store and buy a I have only ever owned a cheap one, but it works just fine! If you have the money to spend on a fancier gadget, a GPS watch is really fun. That will tell you not only how far you walked, but it will map your travels for you. It will give you a few other stats like your average pace, best pace, etc. You can combine it with a heart rate monitor too, if you want to get really detailed info. So much better than a FitBit! But also more expensive (I think).

I have a watch pedometer. It's not a gps watch but it works really good, but it isn't all that pretty. I think it was $20.00

I have come down with an evil virus. It started in my chest then I started running an awful fever and hurt all over. Thank goodness the fever broke sometime this morning. Seems to be spreading thru the kids but they aren't running a fever.

Well, ick, Cheryl. So thankful the fever broke. That means healing is happening. Rest up.
I don't own a pedometer. I've had a couple of inexpensive ones that eventually were lost or broken by me. Hasn't been important enough for me to get another. I do remember the thoughts of "I need more steps today!" in a competition with myself. It can be a great addition to your overall health solutions.
Home last night again. Four nights in a row, two to go. Not sleeping here most of the time makes sleeping here kinda weird as in nowhere really feels like home at the moment. I am not complaining. I am merely observing. Thankfully there is no fighting internally about eating food that is not my food as there is none of that at my very own home. I am feeling strong enough to do the things necessary to get back to the 120s. Nothing fits well at 135 and I feel fat when I cross my legs. Ah, such a journey!

Well I'm having to reschedule my move for next weekend. The truck rental place was overbooked and canceled on us. I didn't feel like calling a bunch of other places at the last minute, so I just booked another truck rental for next weekend. Today has been super hot, over 100F. My eating has been okay, mostly due to the heat and being busy.

I think I am on the mend now. I ran a fever most of the night again but I am way better today. Hooray! It is only 67F here today. Hope some of this cool weather spreads to the rest of you guys. 67F in August

Cheryl, I envy your 67F temps. We won't see that here until maybe late October.
I stayed in today and rested. Made a cheeseburger frittata for breakfast, with leftover ground beef, bacon cheddar, scallions, and eggs. It was so good.

Thanks for the info on pedometers. I am bummed I neglected to pick one up before going on vacation. We walked everywhere and our feet were so sore. My leg muscles are still sore. We left Thursday night and got home Saturday 8:30pm. Picked up the dog and turned on the AC before DH'S flight came in at 10:30pm. Had such a wonderful memories making time with my kids.I am so blessed! I was also rewarded with a 4.4# loss. I made great food choices up until the drive home. Pizza in the park was bad food choice but great family bonding choice. Wouldn't change it. Also had celebratory wine when got home. So probably kicked myself out of ketosis but l'm planning a fat fast today to make up and keep my loss. Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Happy Monday everybody! That is sweet temps, Cheryl. I know I would enjoy them, too, in August. Glad your vacation was super fun Storytha. And weight loss thrown in, too. Yippee! Bunniee, how are you feeling today? I am back on my regular-for-now schedule with staying at Mom's. It was good to see my sisters over the last week. Saturday we went to see The Hundred-Foot Journey which we enjoyed. Light entertainment. I am at 135.4 this morning. My intention is 129 by 7 September. I do better with short-in-time targets. That's a full four weeks for 6.4 pounds. I was 124 earlier this year and I am heading there again. My birthday is in early November and I will be there.

My average weight for the week was 131.9, which I am happy with. I kept my carbs under 40g every day (except on our anniversary, planned cheat).
I only exercised four days out of the week though, and didn't do weights at all, so that is not great. I'm determined to do better this week. I've gotten rather bored with barre class, because my gym only offers a beginners class and it's gotten a little too easy for me and so not as fun. It's kind of weird to hear myself say that. Might be the first time in my life that I've outgrown the beginners level in ANYTHING physical! But I think I'm going to skip that for awhile. I'm going to try to do weights three days a week: Body Pump class once per week, and two days of 5x5. And then I'll also do something aerobic three days per week, but since I've been getting headaches after running or spin class, I may keep it simple and just go back to hiking.

I didn’t continue my Fat Fast on Sunday as my neighbor just came back from Salmon fishing and wanted to share his catch with the neighborhood. So nice! I made a huge salad to share, had grilled salmon, and one tablespoon of rice. Was a lovely evening. Plus I was very proud of myself for not drinking alcohol. This neighbor is kinda my beer drinking buddy and he did try to harass me into drinking with him-but I stayed strong and he left me alone. I didn’t show a loss for today but I’m not worried. I’ll be back into Ketosis by Wednesday morning and still ahead of my current mini goal of -25# by September 3rd. Since it’s been 11 days and I’ve lost 16.6# I’m good. I should up my goal to -30#. Was aiming for -5#/week after the initial water weight loss whoosh. My Sunday numbers: Cals 811 Fat: 73.56 Carbs: 7.75 Prot: 28.80 B- Coffee W/ WHC & CO L- cream cheese, water D- Salmon, salad w/ blue cheese, tiny amount of rice-a-roni, water S- Water I’m feeling great! This mini goal is really motivating me and keeping me on track for my Major goal of next summer. I haven’t decided what amount of loss I want before next summer’s Girl Vacay. I think I’ll add another mini goal of “having visible weight loss” in time for Christmas so I can surprise my little Sister when she comes back to visit. She’ll be pleased and surprised. She is a fitness Guru not a proponent for LC lifestyle. Can being snarky and rubbing your little Sis’s nose in it be a good motivator?? HA! I am also mulling over trying HGC 9/8-10/19 (6 weeks.) We always have a HUGE Halloween party and my costumes are kinda sub-par due to availability of 3X costumes. I rarely have time to do homemade anymore. Ok, enough of the manic writing. Hope you all have a great Monday!!

I fasted on water and black coffee until dinner time today. I'm too broke to LC properly right now, but I can at least do intermittent fasting. I finally picked up the keys to the new apartment - the rooms are a little small but it's clean and I'll have my own bathroom. My old shower/tub has a glass door and I hate it. Looking forward to taking many relaxing baths in the new place!
