Man. my internet has been down since Tuesday. miss you guys I gotta get caught up. My dishwasher is broken too and now the fridge is acting up. Had a house FULL of rowdy kids eating everything in sight and NO dishwasher. But with no internet I had plenty of dishes to take up my time. Thank GOD for paper plates!

Stumbled upon this lady's blog. Against All Grain. She went paleo because of ulcerative colitis and likes to experiment with cooking to make foods that are scrumptious. I think all of us who give up bread for whatever reason miss it. Ha! Got what looks like good recipes to try. I will sometime when I have said I will contribute food to something. I don't experiment too much in the kitchen these days. Some is lack of interest. Other is if I like it, it won't last long around me. Oh i've seen her blog before but forgot to bookmark it. Thanks for the reminder! Man. my internet has been down since Tuesday. miss you guys I gotta get caught up. My dishwasher is broken too and now the fridge is acting up. Had a house FULL of rowdy kids eating everything in sight and NO dishwasher. But with no internet I had plenty of dishes to take up my time. Thank GOD for paper plates!
I finally have a working dishwasher for the first time in 5 years. I tried it out last night and it works great. I don't mind washing dishes by hand, but the tap water here is so awful they never looked clean. Oh and my new apartment has a fridge with an built-in ice maker. I've heard they can be problematic but so far it is working. It does take up freezer space but I have a separate mini fridge/freezer that I can use also. I made tacos for dinner, not low carb but I was so happy to be able to cook something.

Yea Bunniee! My 20 plus-year-old fridge has icemaker technology but I don't use ice at home and often ask for water out without ice. I get cold easily. At least when the icemaker goes bad it will be landlord's problem right? Course if it is the same landlord as the last place, then if you had a nonworking dishwasher for five years then, heh. I have a drawer dishwasher at my house which does need professional attention. I wash the few dishes I dirty by hand these days. It isn't a big deal. I am so excited about your new digs.

TGIF!! I am looking forward to the weekend. Most of it will be filled with yard work and school clothes shopping. But there might be some sleeping in and maybe movie watching. Yay. I’m going to see if DH wants a turkey breast on Sunday. Sounds yummy to me. Thursday’s numbers Cals 1215 Fat 64.13 Carbs 45.42 Prot 63.39 WI 274.2 for 0.4# gain again. I am bloated. It’s all water weight. But kinda throws off my mini goal. I am very proud of myself for not diving in face first into the huge pan of homemade tamales yesterday. They looked SOOO good. But I didn’t. Yay me. I do think after Chicago I might have to have a cheat meal at the Mexican restaurant. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

oh we are quiet. It's the weekend. I jumped up and doing another round of HCG. You might remember I started in April but gave it up pretty quick as I wasn't in the right mental place to eat according to protocol. This was only first day which is eat more fats than normal. I kinda ignored that because, well, we are LCHF kinda people. I am at my highest weight in a while. Time to let it go. Ha!

My gut has been unhappy and I've had allergy/sinus symptoms the last couple of days, probably from too much sugar and carbage. I'm fasting as long as possible today, and then I'll eat something that's easy to digest like eggs. I also took a dose of apple cider vinegar this morning. I ordered a few supplements from Swanson Vitamins and had to remember to put in my new address. The office here will take packages if they can't be left at the resident's door, so that is nice. I'm getting more DLPA and theanine, and going to try a small dose of lithium orotate. I've been reading some interesting stuff about lithium and the brain. Lithium: the misunderstood mineral

Lithium: the misunderstood mineralGreat article. I would love some brain boosting. Also, literally minutes after reading this, my co-worker told me he has gout in his knee and the article said (low dose) lithium is good for controlling gout. So I passed the info on. I'm on a anti-depressant- and will be forever. I probably should talk to my Dr. before adding.

Hello everyone. Hope your weekend was great! My numbers were good but ended up gaining. Time to stop the alcohol. Drinks with friends each day of the weekend. I'm dehydrated and kinda bloaty. My Cals are really high for me.
Sat Cals 1943 Fat 114.66 Carbs 46.87 Prot 73.23
Sun Cals 1490 Fat 89.49 Carbs 19.31 Prot 74.55
WI: 274.4 +0.2#
I've started rehydrating today and had a great LCHF lunch. I'll be good in a few days and probably end the month with more of a loss.
Oh, went shoe shopping and I am a 1/2 size larger than the last time I shopped (probably a year ago-I don't like shopping). Geez! Just call me Sasquatch. Maybe that's were I gained my weight-in toe length.

Up super early so my weigh-in was down .4 this morning. I tell myself it would have been more if I had slept until 6 or so.
The cool thing about HCG is the inches loss that seems disproportionate to other ways of jettisoning pounds. That three pounds more I was at a couple days ago was miserable feeling. So weird to think that for lots of years I weighed 10-15 more than even that. The food is necessarily boring on HCG and not friendly to eating out. It was my first round of HCG about five years ago that got me good at being a meal functions and not touching the food and learning not to feel weird about it...you know that thing where we are concerned what people will think of our eating choices.
Make it a great day.

Monday’s numbers Cals 976 Fat 62.01 Carbs 11.72 Prot 41.88
WI 273.6 -0.8#
I felt really prowly last night but stayed away from the late night snacks and was rewarded with a loss. I’m back down to my -20.0# loss and back on track to (hopefully) lose another -5.0# by next Wednesday for my first mini goal. No cheating. No extra samples. Stick to the plan!
1st day of school for my kiddos. I hope they have a great day!

There is nothing wrong with having to stick with a plan. That's how we reach our desired outcomes so it is to be celebrated. I am with you about no open containers near by. I have long said that for me the size of the serving is the size of the container. THAT is NOT a good plan.

Rewarded with a 1.4 drop in the number on the scale. If you will recall, I previously reported my goal is to be back in the 120s by September 7 when I am singing a few jazz numbers with a group here in town. Ten weigh-ins (daily) and 5 pounds to reach it. I have done several rounds of HCG and my daily average loss is .3-.5 so it isn't a slam dunk as today's reward-for-good-ness indicates.

Tuesday's numbers: Cals 1748 Fat 130.52 Carbs 50.09 Prot 49.34 WI 271.6 -2.0 Ok. I don’t know where that loss came from but I’ll take it. I’m kinda expecting a small back lash tomorrow. But only 3# away from my mini goal by this day next week. I really do better with short term goals. I can self-talk out of sneaky snacks by saying “only 7 more days…” and usually by the end date I’m not craving whatever it was. My first nonfood related reward is new shoes, which I’m wearing right now. Next I’ve already earned is a new swim suit and wrap for when I join a gym. My -25.0# reward is a pedicure which I’m really looking forward to. September 6th will be my 22nd wedding anniversary (I was a child bride ). I weighed like 139, size 9. I remember feeling fat because my dress was tighter on wedding day than on fitting day. Oh past self! I have so much to share with you. DH and I will be in different states for this one. We'll have to try to make up for that next year.

Hooray. 3rd time this same piece has had to be replaced but it had only been 5 months so we got the part for free. Thank goodness cause it was $125.00 part.

Lighter on the scale this morning by 1.4 pounds. Yippee! Two days in a row with 1-pound-plus losses is unusual for me and I will take. it.

Busy Thursday for me. Today is DS's birthday (my baby is 10!! ) and late meetings. I probably won't be home until 8-9ish. Simply wasn't hungry last night. Family had pizza and I just warmed up some mashed cauliflower with cheese. Meh. Wednesday's numbers: Cals 1350 Fat 91.90 Carbs 38.01 Prot 47.18 WI 273.4 +1.8 bounce back Yesh! Not worried. Still down and that will be gone again by tomorrow. Feeling bloaty and TOM is threatening.

At home and on the couch chillin'. I've had my allotted food for the day, done some good work. I COULD go out in the yard to water something but I am not going to. It isn't super hot but I not feeling it. Tomorrow morning I wake up here and will go out with a cup of coffee to hand water a few things. That sounds enjoyable.

I get paid tomorrow and plan to stock up on LC basics like meat, vegetables, and eggs. It's been fun eating whatever I want, but I feel better eating lower carb and want to get rid of some water weight before TOM hits. I'm liking my new apartment more each day and the cat is enjoying her new space. She has more room to run around and places to climb and explore.
