We will have to have a (triple) celebration on 11/8! What a coincidence. @bunniee Yay on the bathroom. I understand how expensive moving is. Moving SUCKS!! First 12 years of marriage, DH & I moved 13 times. UGH! I'm now in my house until I'm too old to use the stairs and even then I might not move. I hope it all goes smooth as silk! Yesterday went great. Numbers: Cals 1337 (really good for me!) Fat 66.50 Carbs 38.89 Prot 84.26 B- Coffee w/ HWC & CO L- 2 boiled eggs, Havarti cheese, protein shake, water D- LC-ish pepperoni Pizza S- Tequila w/ orange Mio (LC Tequila Sunrise-yum) Felt like a little night cap. It's ok when I'm not surrounded by tons of yummy food and boosted my cals a bit. Going to my Parents for a family dinner tonight. My cousins from Virginia are in town for a class reunion and his Dad & step Mom are coming in town too. I'd better VLC my lunch again today, the only thing on the menu LC are the deviled eggs. I'll protein shake it before hand so I'm not tempted too much. Unfortunately I've gotten pretty good at hiding the LC thing so I don't draw unwanted attention to myself. I am planning and going to build a float for work for the Labor Day Parade here. (1st annual). Very excited. DH is very handy (building is what he does) but he's out of town. So I will endeavor to use all his tools and build this sucker myself! Hopefully I come out the other side with all 10 fingers and toes. Felt empowering going into the Home Depot and getting plywood and stuff. (ala Tim "the Tool Man" Taylor) ARRR ARRR ARRR. Have a great Tuesday. Oh, found out yesterday my kids (who are at home alone) are not eating lunch (yes, there is tons of food for them). They get on their electronic devices and forget the time until I come home at 5:20. SIGH! Now I have to call them to remind them to eat. Freaks! I think it's chore list time.

What are everyone’s plans for the weekend? We all know what @bunniee is doing:
Grandma: “The boxes… The boxes… […] The boxes, damn it!”
The American Dream -Edward Albee
I hope your move goes smoothly and safely.
DH had an unexpected trip home last night to pick up supplies from his work and stayed over. Nice. But he confirmed he won’t be here this weekend but home for a few weeks after next Friday-yay. He offered to help me with my float. I was going to try to do it all by myself and surprise him with my building skills and design acumen. But I grossly bit off more than I can chew for a nube. I’m glad he talked me down before I ruined a lot of supplies.
Yesterday’s numbers: Cals 1543 Fat 94.91 Carbs 50.71 Prot 52.91
B- Coffee w/ HWC & CO L- Jimmy John’s Vito Unwich, diet coke D- meatballs, deviled eggs, few corn chips w/ salsa & bean dip, red wine WI: 277.0
Happy hump day!!!

Storytha, so glad you're having such an upbeat week. Keep going girlfriend. Bunniee, almost moving time. Hope you're feeling strong and excited about the change in residences. I am on day 3 of HFLC highway. Monday/Tuesday I plunged down a rabbit trail where I ate sourdough bread, cinnamon raisin muffins, and corn chips. Of course, I felt crummy physically as well as emotionally about such silliness. We carry on! I am off the scale. I don't know that declaring I will have jettisoned 6.4 pounds by 7 September had impact on that behavior or not. I have no intention to over analyze it. Just gotta do differently is all. I haven't done any DailyBurn in a week or two despite my announcing here that I would. Lots of room for improvement in my neck of the woods.

rejoicealways8 You got this. clueless Wow, so jealous. You have great weather AND a week and a half off to yourself during the day? Adopt me! Thanks! I guess I didn't realize how down I had been on myself until I started feeling so much (emotionally/mentally) lighter. I'm sure I will face bumps coming up but it feels good to feel good. Yesterday was a good food day but busy/stressful work day. I even went to bed early and got a great night's sleep. Was slightly grumpy to kids right as I got off work. 78 deg in house as they didn't turn on the AC and DS hadn't even gotten dressed yet. grrrr. But I turned on the AC and took them out to dinner at one of the Buffets they like. I went for the meatloaf (yum) but they didn't have it, grrr. But the ham was delish! See- up and down. and then we all watched a scary movie together and then a Phineas and Ferb episode as a pallet cleanser and all went to bed. My numbers are pretty good: Cals 1366 Fat 75.24 Carbs 26.26 Prot 92.72 B- Coffee w/ WHC & CO L- Chicken breast, carrots, protein shake, water D- Ham, little bit mashed potatoes w/ butter, salad w/ blue cheese, summer squash, water S- Tequila w/ mio, water Got a call from my Health insurance. An informational quiz I took last year showed I could "use some support in some areas of my lifestyle." Ok??? I guess I just signed up for a free weight loss coaching phone session once a month for three months. hmmmm. Not sure what she can tell me but I'm willing to try it. I guess I get some off my deductible for participating. I'll let you know what happens. Happy Thursday!

Happy Friday all. Chose to eat on the LCHF highway yesterday. Yea! I didn't measure or count anything, though. I didn't even think about doing that. No "I ought to". I am meeting a friend at lunch to eat at an Indian restaurant. They have a lunch buffet so I am feeling confident I will find something suitable to eat that pleases me.

Yesterday was very busy at work and then rush home to pack the kids and dog up to go stay my Grama's (Mom & Dad went camping) through Sunday. I did KFC take out due to time. I pre-planned to make sure I hade room in my numbers but I made a bad snack choice late in the evening once I found my brother's famous homemade salsa in the fridge. Oh well, today I will make better evening choices. Cals 1316 Fat 73.97 Carbs 52.52 Prot 51.90 B- Coffee w/ HWC & CO L- Hamburger w. partial patty, diet coke D- KFC Bites, mashed potato w/ butter, red wine S- corn tortilla chips & salsa WI 277.0 -5.4# from last Thursday. Been holding here since Monday. Hmmm. I think things need to "move" this weekend. I've been borderline on my numbers too. I should find my Keto pee sticks (do those things have an expiration date?). I can't weigh at my Moms so I'll have to wait until Monday. Hopefully things look lower. TGIF! We will be doing movie night in tonight so at lunch I'm going to go shopping for LC snacks. My Mom does Sugar Free but not LC. I'm thinking a pot roast for Saturday. Crock Pot living!! If I'm not back on later-Have a great weekend!!! Kathy

Keep up the great work, Kathy. You're doing it!
I will be having a music day in the sense that I am auditioning for something (singing) next Saturday. So I'll be working on the song selection (only one) and practicing it. I am not all that caught up in being selected for this. It is mostly about me auditioning. Though no problem during performances, I am not at my best during an audition. That is what I am working on.
Then on the first Sunday I am going to join in the jazz jam to sing a few songs. This is the weekend I decide what to sing and start pulling the music together for the band. Fun!
Happy Saturday all.

I didn't have a music Saturday because I am disconnected from one of my chargers. I use an app on an iPad to pick out tunes to practice with. The charger at my house has gone walkabout and I had to wait to get to Mom's to use the one here. That one will start travelling with me back and forth til I locate the other one. So music Sunday it is.

The move has been exhausting but is almost done. We got the furniture and other large items moved Saturday, so I got to sleep in the new place last night. I'm looking forward to getting the kitchen ready so I can cook real food again.

Yes, I never felt "moved in" until the kitchen was organized. I think the added expense of eating out all the time sure adds quite a cost to moving or kitchen renovations.

So weigh in at 277.0. The exact same as last Monday and Thursday. Not an ounce change. Weird. I do feel a little bloated and dehydrated. Back to water water water! I have two weeks to reach my mini goal of -25.0# by 9/3. I am stuck at -16.6#. Hopefully I will move down by Friday.
Friday numbers Cals 1075 Fat 67.49 Carb 53.81 Prot 35.87
Saturday Cals 1275 Fat 92.08 Carb 45.25 Prot 36.03
Sunday Cals 1303 Fat 79.01 Carb 43.98 Prot 36.35
So in typing the numbers I can see I am way under in protein. I am aiming for around 100g and carbs are all too close to the 50g line. Ok, new plan for today: water water water and protein shake.
County fair is this week. I think we'll go on Wednesday evening. Only supposed to get up to 87 deg. No elephant ears for me!
Happy Monday!

Finishing up the move took longer than expected - we started early Sunday morning and did not finish until 8:00 am this morning. After that I had to take the truck back and then take the cat to her vet appointment. I didn't get to bed until noon today, after being up 30 hours. I only slept 5 hours, but that's good because I'm working tomorrow and want to be able to sleep tonight.
I'm still eating convenience foods because my kitchen is packed up. I probably should have requested off the whole week for the move. I'll just have to unpack what I can after work and this weekend. I'm just glad the move is over and I won't have to do this again for a long time.

Happy Tuesday everyone. We had an impromptu movie night last night. I figured out Monday was the only evening we had free to go see “Guardians of the Galaxy”. I liked it. Action and funny. But that means I wasn’t able to eat the amount of protein I had planned. (I left my protein shakes at my Mom’s house). Ladies and gentlemen, we have scale move-age! -2.0# WI 275.0 yay. It took 8 days. I’m down -18.6# for August. I think I will reach my goal of -25.0# by Sept 3rd (Chicago trip) and then second mini goal of -46.6# by October 25th (will weigh 250 at my Halloween party) Monday’s numbers Cals 808 Fat 53.86 Carbs 35.99 Prot 38.76 Going to the county fair tonight after work and I want a corn dog. The one source I found for nutritional information says it’s 27 carbs. So if I low carb it at lunch I should come out ok.

You are rockin' it Storytha!
Bunniee, my mom who moved often said do the kitchen and YOUR bathroom first. Everything else can take all the time it needs. Her method means you can be sane while you finish up. I always found this mom advice to be spot on.

having great days and then a plunge into not so good days. Ugh. The good days are getting more in a string and the bad ones fewer in number...in a row. It's a fast day today and have done that well. It's a good thing I have a pair of stretchy jeans. Sheesh.

Kids and I went to the county fair with some friends. I successfully ate LC lunch enough I could treat myself with a hand dipped corn dog. Really no way to know the actual nutritional numbers so I’ve estimated based upon internet research. It was yummy! Kids rode the rides until 9:30 which means standing and walking for almost 4 hours. Achy feet.
WI 273.4 -1.6# I have officially made my -5.0# goal for this week. One more -5.0 week in the next 13 days and I’ll make my mini goal. Yay!
Cals 924 Fat 50.24 Carbs 44.93 Prot 26.15
DD’s open house tonight at 6:30 so will probably have LC-ish pizza for a quick dinner. I’ll have to keep an eye on my lunch choices to balance those numbers out.
Have a great day!

My eating pattern is not where I'd like it to be, but I'm not going to stress about it. I got some of the pots and pans unpacked tonight, so I can start cooking again soon. The scale is packed away but if I go by how my jeans fit, I don't think I have gained any weight. I found an old pair of slacks in size 14 and they are actually a little big on me. I might go to the thrift store this weekend and try on size 12 pants and skirts. I don't want to spend a lot of money on clothes while I'm working towards my goal weight, but I do think it's important to wear things that fit. I finally bought new underwear the other day - 2 sizes smaller.

Oh I hope you do go find a couple of things that do fit your body now and that you feel pretty in. It's one of the best actions we can take to help ourselves stay on the path we're choosing for our best health. That 2 sizes smaller felt happily exciting didn't it? I, too, am not on the scale. My clothes are not fitting well and not because they are too big. Ugh. I am feeling confident in my abilities around food at the moment. I did fast successfully Tuesday and through Wednesday until after 8 last night when I had some salad (lettuce, tomato, onion with olive oil) and some green beans with sausage which I found in my mom's fridge. I wasn't really hungry but thought it was best to get something going in my digestive system. I do have a business lunch today and didn't want that to be the first thing I ate because I have no idea what the food will be...when I fast I still drink coffee with coconut oil, broth, and I sip hot gelatin (think pre-jello) for protein needs. I don't get to the 70ish grams of protein by a long shot but something is good. I am up super early. Sigh.

Stumbled upon this lady's blog. Against All Grain. She went paleo because of ulcerative colitis and likes to experiment with cooking to make foods that are scrumptious. I think all of us who give up bread for whatever reason miss it. Ha! Got what looks like good recipes to try. I will sometime when I have said I will contribute food to something. I don't experiment too much in the kitchen these days. Some is lack of interest. Other is if I like it, it won't last long around me.

I really don't want to buy clothes at this size because I think it's a waste of money plus looks like I'm giving up and going to stay this size (I'm not!!) I think I'll use your idea and hit the thrift stores this weekend. Smart.

DD’s open house went well. More walking and standing. My legs are still achy. Probably need to do some stretching. Found out her 7th grade honors History will give her 9th grade credit-nice. Looks like she’ll have a great year. Has 6/7 classes with her BFF.
DS’s open house tonight-they are serving hot dogs. I’ll eat before I go-or at least have a protein shake so I can last until I get home.
Had a little bump on the scale. I’ve been straddling the 50 carb line too much. I’m sure it will be back down again tomorrow if I make good choices today. Thursday’s numbers Cals 1241 Fat 57.47 Carbs 50.81 Prot 83.57
WI +0.4# 273.8
Allergies are starting to affect me (early this year). Wind is kicking something up. Makes me think of you, Cheryl. How are you doing?
DH comes home tomorrow. I have some major straightening up to do tonight. He’s the Felix to my Oscar.
One more day until Friday! yay
