Evening everyone. Here is my data for today.
Calories: 1404 Fat: 132 Carbs: 22 Protein: 45
B- Coffee w/ HWC & CO L- Coffee w/HWC, Skinless stir fry chicken and a small salad of baby spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and avocado D- Coffee w/HWC & CO, Skinless stir fry chicken, cauliflower w/butter
It’s been three days since restarting NK. Today, no headache. Sunday to Monday was horrible with pain. I stayed home from work. My BG was 119 even tho I had no food in me as I couldn’t keep anything down. I seem to find my BG is over 100 when I have migraines. Haven’t found my trigger yet. Feeling way better today. I can always tell when I’m in NK. Morning number better as was the evening number.
Morning BK - .4 Evening BK - .8 FBG 87 Evening BG 93
Today, I did a bit of an experiment. I had a small salad at lunch. Oh how good that was. I’ve been reading my new book, The Real Meal Revolution, and have decided to try eating in the green, tho I am still logging and restricting my calories, grams of proteins and carbs. I ate above 20 grams of carbs today, but my evening BK was fine, much to my surprise. After 7 months on daily tracking I did get a bit burnt out. I’ve decided it is best for me to log my foods and started back on that saturday. I seem to be more accountable, less apt to stray, etc.
Off to read some posts before I head for bed. Hope everyone is well and had a great day.

Weather was crazy yesterday. Gray, windy, rainy, sunny, gray, windy-in that order.
Wednesday's number (Does everyone sound out "wed-nes-day" when typing that?) Cals 1120 Fat 56.01 Carbs 55.78 Prot 68.85
B- diet coke L- Jimmy Johns Vito unwich, large pickle D- LC-ish pizza, chocolate protein shake S- bites of frosted carrot cake, rice
Went over a little. Trying to get to bed at a decent hour. Feeling really tired this week.

kewlkat Your salad sounds great. Sorry for your pain. I've only ever been cursed with a migraine once in my life and pray to never have one again. I understand.

Hey gang, at home this evening. It's been a bacon, tomato, and onion kind of a day for me. I have home grown tomatoes from one friend and home grown onions from another. Talk about yummy. I am looking forward to my own bed tonight.

I am looking forward to my own bed tonight. YUM!! I had a bunch of tomatoes setting on the counter so I chopped up a couple of quarts of salsa this morning and salted it really good. Oh man it's delish. I thought I would let it ferment a few days but I don't know if it will last a few days.

I know what you mean Cheryl. That stuff is so good.
Storytha, I am with Cheryl. Don't focus on the uptick on the scale. Bad sleep, not enough cals the day before and I would opt not to get on the scale until I got myself act together again for a day or two.

I don't know what it is about Quest bars, but I find it really hard to pay attention to hunger signals and satiety when I eat one and immediately want another. I think part of the problem is that I usually eat them in place of a meal instead of as a snack.
Other than that, I'm doing okay with hunger directed eating. I'm not weighing and feel a little bloated, but my jeans still fit comfortably. I might fast tomorrow to get rid of the bloat, it usually doesn't take long. A day or two of very low carb would also do the trick.

Gotta post because no one else has. Fast day for me. I am beginning to look forward to it, to be released what I sometimes call "the tyranny of food." By that I mean my emotional attachment to it in an unhelpful way. Not today!

I liked it too but I detoxed pretty bad which nearly always made me sick.
Woohoo, Sure am having a great week ALREADY! (can't wait for our next coaching session.) :hugs:Thanks!

Hi all. Hope you had a great weekend. I had a fun filled weekend which unfortunately involved hot dog buns and beer. But today is going well.
Happy Monday.

I am having a super day not focused on food. I do liquids: coffee with coconut oil, tea, chicken broth. Even made a gelatin broth and salted it up well. I keep chewing sugar-free gum which is an ongoing habit at the moment. I haven't experienced any hunger yet which makes fasting super easy. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
Cheryl--glad you are having a great week. That's a happy thing for the rest of us, too.
Greta--When I tried a month or so ago a savory gelatin that had set up, I didn't like it much. Drinking it with salt for flavor was just as good as a chicken broth in flavor. I am still doing my daily gelatin by the way. It does a body good.
Be good to yourself friends.
Pam

I think I'm going to go for an egg day. I have plans to hit the grocery store for more protein shakes and I'll just pick up a couple of boiled eggs. Would a protein shake be bad on an egg day? I'll tell the family we're having breakfast for dinner-they'll love that.
Weather was so great last week but now back over 100. It's 97 at 9am, and will get to at least 103. Ugh! God bless air conditioning!
Happy Tuesday!!

My plan to fast on Saturday fell through. I kind of did the opposite of fasting over the weekend, ugh. I'm PMS'ing and that probably contributed to getting off track. I managed to fast until dinner time on Monday then ate a normal meal. Today was kind of snack-y, but I stuck with sensible portions and did not overeat.

Hey Bunniee you did great! When's the move?
I had steamed veggies at a Chinese food place at lunch to break my fast. A couple eggs this afternoon cooked in coconut oil. A few bites of sauerkraut--you know those probiotics found in fermented (not heat processed) food. Here at Mom's I've had lettuce/tomato/onion with a balsalmic vinegarette. That's it for food for the day. Which is good. Last week it wasn't pretty and the scale this morning reflects that.
Been a few days since I did some DailyBurn. Tomorrow.

It is interesting to observe myself around eating and the scale after a day of liquids-only fasting and "good" day of eating choices, the scale didn't move the way I think it "ought" to. Thankfully that is only a momentarily thought--fleeting really. I know it doesn't work that way. it is consistency over time that does it. Here's to consistency!

Next weekend is the move, but I have until the end of August to get everything out of the old place. It sucks having to pay rent for 2 places plus the deposit, but will be worthwhile in the long run. I'm going to hire a cleaning service after most of my stuff is moved out, so I won't have to deal with that hassle. My current landlord requires a professional cleaning after move out (including carpets), and I don't trust them not to overcharge if I let them hire the cleaners. I will be taking photos after cleaning, so the property manager can't make bogus claims about the condition of the apartment. Food-wise, I'm back on track and having a good day. I brought leftovers for lunch instead of snacking. Not sure what I'm going to have for dinner but I'll wait until I'm hungry.

Bunniee, good for you for handling your move in such a wise way. Does the landlord require proof by receipt that you had the cleaning down by a "professional." Whatever that means. Will your drive to work be shorter at the new place?
Storytha, How did your egg day go? Does your son still have a mohawk?
Kewlkat, I did give a look last week to your post about the book you're reading. I appreciate your sharing what you are finding. How's your "eating in the green" going? I hope you are feeling more and more the control around food that LCHF can give us.
The scale was nice to me this morning. I am still in the 130s, though, higher than I prefer. I will get there. I am in a good spot mentally and Mom's food isn't calling to me in the evening. One of my sisters is coming for 2-3 nights beginning on Monday meaning I will be sleeping in my own bed several nights in a row while she and one of her grown sons stays at Mom's. It's like a vacation for me without the travel and the expense. Ha! She lives on the other side of Texas so it will be good to have her here and enjoy her company.
I did not do DailyBurn yesterday. The morning got away from me. I am up earlier today so that helps me mentally commit to that 15 minutes and then actually follow through.

Egg fast was kind of a disaster. I had "bowel discomfort" half way through the day and into the night. Ugh! Feeling better now. Yes, DS still has his Mohawk. This is the last weekend for the play. We'll change it next week. School here starts August 26th so he has time to pick a new style if he wants. Heat here has been 105-106 deg last few days. Makes a person lack motivation to do anything. We're watering twice a day but still my hostas are frying. I was presented with a very unique opportunity last night. My BFF came over and said she will be turning 40 next year and wants an epic girls vacation. She wants to do it in a bikini so she and her daughter joined a gym and are going together. DH suggested I use that as a motivation to get fit. (I suggested we go as a family as I pointedly looked at his blossoming gut but he ignored me) She's not sure where yet but it will involve passports/beaches/lots of wine! I'm IN!!!! :thumbsup:My DD and I will try her gym (Golds) next week and I'm going to look into another one further away from my house but has the outdoor water park. I wonder what would motivate me more to keep going and not waste money on a gym I don't go to: closer location to my house or extra amenities.
