Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Brought my baby home last night...he is doing so-so...still not able to really stand or walk; has to be crated for 2 weeks so no running walking jumping stairs etc. i can hold him/carry him and he can sit on lap but last night was too hard for all that since the steroids giving him diarrhea poor little guy - he will be a handful the next few weeks while on steroids but he's worth it taking him back to vet Wed and Fri 8a for more laser treatments; they said it seemed to really help him and very affordable, only $5 per trip. he can still go potty outside if he can hold his #2 long enough but at least he's still able to function for that, so that's good! they said he won't walk the same most likely but i dont care if he limps or whatever he has to do...no more jumping! i feel TERRIBLE for all the times he's jumped off stuff, argh! he thinks he is so big and feel like if i'd done better about keeping him off furniture, etc...but yeah, i'm still hopeful he will recover from this. left my papers at home but the gave me a full write up of what is wrong so was going to update here but yeah, it's his back so still hoping he can just get better! poor little guy...he's barely over 5 lbs but at least put on a little weight over the last week. didn't eat much yesterday which was nice for a change - hungry today and will be going home on lunch hour now to care for tito so will either eat left over ham with mayo or stop at kfc for a breast/leg. no workout Mon and prob wont have time Tonight either. did a good bike ride Sun and also did C25K sat morning, week 1 day 1, couldn't finish; ran out of time and exhausted so will try again hopefully tonight or tomorrow. busy week, paper due for class, super short staffed at work with too much to get done, visits with mom...wanting to ride my bike! so yeah, need to get organized and prioritize tonight prob going to SO's sister house for BBQ. she did come to our house today to help clean; it's gotten too messy for my SO to stand it but we both work full time jobs so yeah that's the way it goes lol...anyway, hoping everyone doing GREAT! hugs!! Robin :hugs:Glad your baby is home. So nice of your So's sis to help out, it is easy to get over whelmed with so much going on.

Back on track today from the weekend. I feel achy and was winded walking up my work stairs. Granted I'm actually wearing heals which only happens a few times a year. No coffee today-too tired this morning to get moving on time. Went to bed at decent hour and slept soundly, but still tired. All of the above I believe to be symptoms from eating high carbs last 4 days. Ugh! Gonna salad bar it for lunch and fast scrambled eggs and microwave bacon for dinner (Cub Scouts). By Friday I'll def be feeling better. Still having to take Allergy med. Long season this year. Making sure to take my potassium too-hand cramps yesterday. Sure don't want night leg/foot cramps again. Ouch! Hope you feel better super soon

Robin, I'm glad to see Tito is back home even if he still not doing so great. Hopefully you can keep him from being overly active. It's hard with pets because they don't understand. When Kitty had surgery last year, she went down the stairs after I brought her home and I about had a heart attack. I had to carry her back up.
The last 24 hours has been kind of weird, food-wise. I got in most of my Up day calories last night, and all I've eaten today is a protein bar. I will probably skip dinner and start rotations over tomorrow. I went a little over on carbs, almost 60 g, but ketostix are still showing dark pink.

So glad Tito is home! My furry baby has a long body with short legs too and will be prone to lower back/hip issues... I really need to start making him use the doggy stairs instead of jumping off the bed. Yesterdays log: www.fatsecret.com/Diary.aspx?pa=fjFat Carbs Prot Cals 111.84 47.06 76.30 1489 I JUST realized this morning that my HWC is actually half and half. So my log for the last few days (maybe week?) is not correct. GRRRRRRR Also - Have a bout three extra half and half pints for sale. LOLOL Gonna google to see if I can freeze it.

I bet ha can, I freeze milk when I find it marked down super cheap. I freeze it in pint size freezer bags already measured out in 1 or 2 cup bags so I can thaw it out as I need it.

Yes, I think Half & half would freeze well. We ended up with 2 1/2 dozen eggs in my house. Can't freeze those. Guess I'd better get to boilin'.
Yesterday's back on the wagon numbers: Cals 1195 Fat 99.34 Carbs 24.6 Prot 55.71
B- diet coke L- Salad bar w/ extra ham & egg D- 2 hard boiled eggs, bacon S- stale cinnamon Almonds, salt & vinegar almonds
No WI
I bought Salt and Vinegar Almonds. SOOOO good! The perfect snack at the end of the day. And with the tart flavor I'm not tempted to eat more than one ounce. Running low on LC snacks at work. I'll have to go shopping today.
Sun is shining. Happy hump day.

You can crack them, mix them as if you were doing scrambled eggs and then freezing them. Filling the slots in an ice cube tray works well. Then you would have them to use without having to precook them. whatscookingamerica.net/Eggs/FreezingEgg.htm

I tried Walden Farms sugar free chocolate syrup and is pretty darn good. It has real cocoa and is sweetened with sucralose. I've heard their products can be hit or miss, but this one was a winner. I used 2 tablespoons in my coffee this morning to make a sugar free mocha.

I could "scramble" some, freeze in a baggie and break them out on a Saturday night for Sunday breakfast. Thanks for the info.

I am so excited I just wanted to share this, when we went to the cabin over the weekend I did a few small paintings. I left one on the mantle with a little note thanking the owners. I got an email from them. They thanked me for the art and said it was "by far the nicest gift they had ever received form a guest." She framed the painting and hung it in the cabin. She even emailed me a picture of the framed painting. That really made my day.

My joints are feeling better, but still not 100%. I blew my down day but managed to stay LC. Tomorrow my boss is taking several of us staff out to lunch, and I don't know what the menu will be like. Hopefully I can order something not too carb-y, but I'm not worried.

All caught up I think. I am still mostly off plan but working back towards being on plan. Got a heck of a sunburn a few days ago working out in the yard shirtless but thanks to ACV and greasing my back up with VCO it seems to be healing up nicely.

Good to see you back, reddarin! I went off plan today with Mexican food, but at least it was gluten free. I had crispy chicken tacos made with corn tortillas.

Hello reddarin! Glad to see you! Sorry for the burn. I always get one at the beginning of summer. Just to remind me how really white my Irish/Norwegian ass is!!! So I have set a small competitive goal for myself to see if that helps me get and stay on track. I don't think of myself as competitive but when I said that out loud to DH he literally did a "spit-take" with his diet coke. So maybe I have a little bit of a streak. Starting this morning-Absolutely no "cheats" and the most amount of weight I can possibly lose in 7 days. If it is -10# I get a pedicure. If -15# I get a facial too. (I've been off plan and have at least 4-5# water weight.) Then a company catered dinner out of town on 5/2. (see below) Then one more intensive week hopefully losing 3-5 more # (depending on water weight from company dinner) before my birthday on May 9th. I focusing on the short term so there can be no room for that little taste, or I'll start again tomorrow! Today I've eaten: B- Diet coke, baby bell L- 2 boiled eggs, 5oz tuna S- Pure Protein vanilla cream (35g Prot/2 carbs) D- will be steak. I may also have dinner salad w/ ranch to up fat a bit. My numbers will be: Cals: 1199 Fat 63.88 Carb:11.00 Prot: 138.25 (Ok, maybe I'll go for the 6 oz steak) So here is the menu for company dinner on 5/2-served banquet style. "1-We start with a Greek salad 2-Spagetti & meat ball 3-Three cheese tortellini with pesto cream sauce 4-Chicken Gorgonzola ,Vodka sauce And lots of garlic bread" I will not have access to a car nor is there another close by food option to the hotel except bar food after 8:00 pm. So lots of salad and some of the chicken (which I'm sure is breaded). If I can just stay away from the garlic bread I MAY be able to come away under 100 carbs. Maybe I'll reward no bread with Vodka Martini! Ok! i've got my plan! It's a good plan! Now if I can stay strong!

I've come down with a stupid cold, and all I've had today is tea with half & half. Probably won't eat anything, my throat is still too raw. At least I'm not tempted to keep eating off plan.
I have chicken broth and made sure to get sugar free cold medicine.

As of Sunday morning i'm down -6.4#. I think we can all agree i'm the queen of water weight gain and loss!
Friday night I ended up with the 6 oz steak and kinda had to choke it down. Guess 125g protein is too much.
Saturday was really busy w/ errands and DD birthday party (paintball). Didn't eat enough but ate 100% to plan.
Calls 925 Fat 79.41 carbs 10.25 Protein 41.74
B- coffee W/ HWC & CO, cheddar L- salad w/ ranch d- taco meat w/ cheddar

I didn't eat at all yesterday and mostly stayed in bed. I wasn't intentionally fasting, just felt too cruddy from being sick.
My throat is better today at least, and I'll probably fix a few eggs for a late lunch.
