Hi guys! I'm trying to get back on the LC wagon, and see that other folks are struggling too. I'm sorry to see that, but at least I'm not alone. I'm still doing JUDDD, and this has been working well for weight loss. I'm down to 165 after being stalled for months, so yay! The downside is that my joint pain and tummy troubles have returned, because I've been eating evil wheat and sugar. ugh. It just goes to show that eating LC is so much more than weight loss. Even if you're not losing there are so many health benefits to eating higher fat and keeping blood sugar stable.

I agree Bunniee about LC/NK being so much more than weight loss. In fact, that isn't the reason I started NK about 18 months ago. It was more about brain health for me. The side effect of my not having mental cravings all the time was unexpected but welcomed. It showed me that there wasn't something morally wrong with me. Ha!

@bunniee i agree too! it's crazy how different i feel when the junk creeps back in! wheat and sugar are no good...along with lots of other packaged crap that i try to convince myself is allowed even with NK...that's AWESOME about getting down to 165!!! i hope to post that same # some day!!

Here is today's log. Breakfast: scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and cheddar. Coffee with half & half. Lunch: shredded chicken, blue cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, and cabbage. Dinner: bunless cheeseburger with guacamole, glass of red wine (only 1 because that's all I had left!) Snack: chocolate cream cheese pudding 1953 calories, 141 g fat, 117 g protein, 27 g carbs Tomorrow will be a semi-fast day, no more than 500 calories. I usually skip breakfast and eat a late lunch or early dinner on those days.

I keep reading about it and thinking I should buy some. I looove salt and salty foods.

I bought some before and perhaps, like coffee, I am not a connoisseur. I like coffee, I drink coffee. Some coffee is awful and I won't drink it, and occasionally I have one where I think "wow, this is very good." Like while travelling in Italy a few years ago. Other than that, I just drink coffee. The same with salt. I do stick to at least sea salt. Occasionally splurge on something different like Himalayan but I am not connoiseur-sy enough to think it worth the extra expense all the time.
Beautiful day here. Hope it is where you are, too.

I was struggling a bit with hunger today, but feel better after eating a late lunch. I'm going to have yogurt for an evening snack, and that will be it for this down day.
Morning - coffee with half & half Afternoon - chicken, cabbage, sour cream, blue cheese, and hot sauce Evening - plain Greek yogurt with stevia
463 calories, 49 g protein, 23 g fat, 14 g carbs. Down days tend to be lower fat, but I make up for it the next day.

Hi everyone. ... Sorry about being MIA. It's been a super busy week at work and I wasn't really doing that great at staying on plan. Getting back on track is always so tough.
Thanks for the shout out, Pam! I will stop by tomorrow again. I miss you all!

Kristin! Great to see you. I find it helps to hang here to be more mindful of staying on track. I bet that would be true for you, too.

Weigh in: 164.6 for a new low. It's probably water weight but I'll take it. I got up early this morning and made a variation of LC almond buns. I used some flax meal, because all almond flour tends to be grainy. The texture and taste was good, only I messed up and didn't grease the pan enough so the buns got stuck. I'll know better next time! I ate half a bun with almond butter and bacon for breakfast.

Hi all! It's been too long since I last posted to reply to all the threads but I think I got it covered with this: Happy new lows, happy (belated) anniversaries, welcome back and *hugs* to all for the struggles! LOL Sun 20th: 1562 * 112% fat: 114.38g | protein: 80.60g | carbs: 45.43g Sat 19th: 1478 * 106% fat: 108.04g | protein: 77.75g | carbs: 49.10g Fri 18th: 1641 * 117% fat: 124.62g | protein: 80.62g | carbs: 48.84g Thu 17th: 1490 * 106% fat: 111.46g | protein: 76.00g | carbs: 49.83g www.fatsecret.com/Diary.aspx?pa=mdcs - this will have links to each day's list of food... Doing okay but not losing quickly at all... might have to tweak some things if that doesn't change in the next couple weeks. At least there is a (mostly) downward trend so I'm still slogging through. Mood has been MUCH better - I really think it might have been hormones adjusting to the new WoE. Started feeling a bit better about a week ago and little by little I'm back to 'normal' (lol - no one has ever accused me of being that!) Have an awesome spring day!

On Sunday I got up before 5:00 am, and was done with breakfast and lunch by 3:00 pm. All I've had since then is a bulletproof coffee I drank before work. I think I'm going to make dinner and count it towards my Up day. I could make myself fast until the morning, but probably would not sleep well. Now I just have to decide what to eat! I kind of want a poached egg and bacon, but I also have leftover ro-tel dip and shredded chicken.

It really helped when I could be in here a couple of times throughout the day, too. .... but now I don't have access to the site from work and rarely get online from home, so I'm having a tough time getting in here! Pretty good day today. Fast high, carbs under 50, but protein definitely too low. Sent from my SCH-I545 using proboards

What did you decide Bunniee about dinner? I'm thinking poached egg on a bed of rotel dip topped with bacon and chicken. You using your smartphone to log in now, Kristin? You could use that work? On a break? Long day in hours. Nothing bad. Managed to stay on plan. Nighty night

Then a couple hours later I ate rotel dip with pork rinds. I guess I was hungry! It was a lot of calories but I didn't feel overstuffed. I'm not hungry at all this morning, so I'll just see how it goes. I'm more concerned with becoming keto adapted right now than being strict with JUDDD rotations.

Back on track today from the weekend. I feel achy and was winded walking up my work stairs. Granted I'm actually wearing heals which only happens a few times a year. No coffee today-too tired this morning to get moving on time. Went to bed at decent hour and slept soundly, but still tired. All of the above I believe to be symptoms from eating high carbs last 4 days. Ugh! Gonna salad bar it for lunch and fast scrambled eggs and microwave bacon for dinner (Cub Scouts). By Friday I'll def be feeling better.
Still having to take Allergy med. Long season this year. Making sure to take my potassium too-hand cramps yesterday. Sure don't want night leg/foot cramps again. Ouch!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Brought my baby home last night...he is doing so-so...still not able to really stand or walk; has to be crated for 2 weeks so no running walking jumping stairs etc. i can hold him/carry him and he can sit on lap but last night was too hard for all that since the steroids giving him diarrhea poor little guy - he will be a handful the next few weeks while on steroids but he's worth it taking him back to vet Wed and Fri 8a for more laser treatments; they said it seemed to really help him and very affordable, only $5 per trip. he can still go potty outside if he can hold his #2 long enough but at least he's still able to function for that, so that's good! they said he won't walk the same most likely but i dont care if he limps or whatever he has to do...no more jumping! i feel TERRIBLE for all the times he's jumped off stuff, argh! he thinks he is so big and feel like if i'd done better about keeping him off furniture, etc...but yeah, i'm still hopeful he will recover from this. left my papers at home but the gave me a full write up of what is wrong so was going to update here but yeah, it's his back so still hoping he can just get better! poor little guy...he's barely over 5 lbs but at least put on a little weight over the last week. didn't eat much yesterday which was nice for a change - hungry today and will be going home on lunch hour now to care for tito so will either eat left over ham with mayo or stop at kfc for a breast/leg. no workout Mon and prob wont have time Tonight either. did a good bike ride Sun and also did C25K sat morning, week 1 day 1, couldn't finish; ran out of time and exhausted so will try again hopefully tonight or tomorrow. busy week, paper due for class, super short staffed at work with too much to get done, visits with mom...wanting to ride my bike! so yeah, need to get organized and prioritize tonight prob going to SO's sister house for BBQ. she did come to our house today to help clean; it's gotten too messy for my SO to stand it but we both work full time jobs so yeah that's the way it goes lol...anyway, hoping everyone doing GREAT! hugs!!
