My little food processor bit the dust. Do any of you guys have one they really like or would recommend? I am reading reviews on Amazon. I have always wanted to get myself a nice one but only had the little single blade choppers before. Takes me forever to decide on a purchase over $5.00 KitchenAid! I have a KitchenAid mini food processor with a single s-blade, and I have a big KitchenAid processor with all the bells and whistles. Love them both! Highly recommended. We just picked up the little one on a whim at Costco, but I was very pleased with it. When I bought the big one, I read TONS of reviews first. My sweet husband told me to just pick out what I most wanted and not worry about the price. So I looked at some more expensive brands, but the reviews of the KitchenAid models were the best.

Since I added carbs back I have started having asthma attacks again. I think it had been over a year since I have had asthma attacks. I have had one every after walking my sister's dog and after running with the kids outside. They were usually exercise and cool or cold weather induced. Amazing that being NK adapted keeps me from having asthma attacks. Whoa! Fascinating, Cheryl!

I blew it out of the park on fat today what with four ounces of macadamia nuts. 217g. Thus cals, too. I do have a full size Cuisenart food processor I've had for about 30 years. The only thing I've done is replace the bowl and that was within the last five years. I don't use it as much as I used to but I still love having it.

Happy Tuesday! Woke up this morning hungry so ate a babybel with my coffee. Now at 9:00 am indescribably tired!! I got my 8 hours. Don't know what's up. Oh well. Monday's numbers: Cals 1174 Fat 80 Carbs 56.31 Prot 50.31 B- Coffee w/ HWC & CO L- Chili, side salad w/ ranch D- LC-ish pepperoni pizza S- P3, dill pickles I shouldn't have made the choice to have two higher than average carb meals yesterday. Should have been one or the other. Got really snacky in the evening and filled it with pickles. Probably should have picked almonds for the protein but knew carb creep was happening. Gonna protein it up today! Off to the company fridge for some pepperoni bites. Maybe that will get my blood movin'! Have a great day!!

hi all! had a 4 day weekend - took Fri off, school was out for teacher work day and my friend also needed a sitter so it worked out well. baby was so good for me all day, barely cried! i was happy camper about that! monday school closed due to bad weather and i stayed home with my son and my boyfriends 2 kids...it was um...yeah...a long day lol...today woke up feeling MISERABLE, burning up and now freezing and nauseous. we had my boyfriends nephew over all day Sun and then invited him over Mon to play (sometimes even #s help the drama subside...note - sometimes is the key word) and he couldn't since he woke up w/ fever and throwing up, ugg. hoping i didn't catch the bug too. Fri was a decent day eating wise, Sat we went to STL for the day and i ate a LOT of junk...then ate more junk Sun...and again Mon...also maybe why I feel so horrible today...so far just had about 8 oz of water this morning and it's a struggle...really want to go home and crawl back into bed. my pants are super snug, almost to the point of running to wal mart for some fat pants with no zipper!! almost feels like i'm about to start TOM too, which didn't help the desire to eat JUNK all weekend. idk, either way, ready to feel better...no workout today and may just fast all day to clear out my system, works for me since totally not hungry at all, the thought of food makes me want to yack. sorry for TMI lol...some good news - i got my new iphone 4s and using straight talk with it to save money each month, YAAAAY! it's a used one from eBay and i was super nervous it wouldn't work out or that i'd get ripped off and so far so good! yay! hope you all have a great Tues! hopefully tomorrow's post won't be so much crying and misery lol...

Amazing that being NK adapted keeps me from having asthma attacks. Oh no! I hope the attacks go away! and stay away! In what can only be construed as proof positive of naming calls, I seem to have caught a head cold lol. It came on yesterday so suddenly that I thought it was some sort of allergy because my eyes were watering and I was sneezing a lot with a very runny nose. Maybe it really is just an allergy to something that our cold snap in the area exposed? hope you are feeling better! yay for scale moving in the right direction!

DD just bought a straight talk iPhone 4 from ebay. It does everything except you cannot hear people talk on the phone setting. LOL She finally decided to just set it to speaker and use that for talking on the phone. Several people told her iPhones have that problem a lot, IDK?

No, not a major allergy. More aversion. He won't eat movie theatre popcorn with "butter" because the palm oil makes him queasy. I just don't want to make him question the food I serve him. Let me just say for all men everywhere on the planet a big God Bless for that! Nothing annoys me more than being tricked into eating something I don't want or like to eat. Thanks. I've thought about sneaking him blended up veggies before but thought how I would feel if he tried that with me. I've never cared for the taste of coconut myself, so was never an issue until I found the benefits of CO. I go for the unflavored. No heartburn/indigestion-though he should! He eats nothing but crap! He's had this allergy/aversion since before I met him. No swelling, just stomach/bowel upset. Trying Indian food is hard-everything has coconut milk. He is allergic to hops too (he found that one in high school doing a keg stand on a band trip ) His throat swells up and he can't breathe. So unsure of the different "allergic" reactions.

Babybel is so very tasty That exact situation right there is how I ended up getting started on protein shakes. I was almost out of carbs for the day and all of the convenient protein (meat) I had was super high calorie (bacon or pork sausage). Almond milk and Six Star protein powder saved the day

Maybe it really is just an allergy to something that our cold snap in the area exposed? hope you are feeling better! I have only the faintest of symptoms today. Maybe it was just an allergy to something? I actually forgot I'd been sick for most of the morning and then it struck me that I was feeling normal or very close to it. One thing is certain - Before LC and wheat-free, I never ever got over anything like that in a couple of days. As bad as that first day was it was the type to last a couple of weeks.

Interesting. I'd never heard of a beer allergy before. Apparently the hops and/or the malted barley are the usual suspects if other types of alcohol don't cause a reaction. Chances are he'll regret his poor food choices some time in the future lol. At least he's got you so when that day comes you'll be able to help him across the river to the truly healthy way of eating

Ketausea lol! I forgot about that word. Becky actually coined the word and I thought it so neatly described the situation I told her I was stealing it for my sig line heh. I wonder how she is doing? Man she'd go off plan, gain some weight, jump back on plan, lose it forthwith, go out of town and off plan again, rinse repeat. Even now I can't hold a stick to what she was able to do heh. Yeah, Becky could lose 5 pounds a week and make it look easy. lol

Happy Birthday, Darin!! What's your celebratory cake? I'm not sure why I'm not even getting emails from the site when you all post....hmm...will have to investigate. Struggled a bit today, but held on. Still need to go eat dinner, but will come back and post my day's log afterwards. WI today 159.2. That's down 1.2 from the past couple of days. Here's hoping for tomorrow's weigh-in....

I loosely have the idea of disassociating my birthday from being a day to eat a bunch of carbs. If I do that next year I am definitely going to try a gluten-free cake sometime around my birthday though. I don't think I've ever tasted one before. Hooray on the WI!!!

My notification emails are usually very slow getting to me taking an hour or longer typically to show up in my inbox. I use the same provider as you (I can see your address as admin).
