Cold for us in my part of Texas, too. Barely got to 32 today. Another night in the low 20s tonight. Thankfully it's supposed to get in the 40s tomorrow and keep going up each day til the weekend topping out near 70. Ahhhhh.... Seriously cold this winter in Texas! I hope we don't get more ice like a few weeks ago. Yeah, I bet you guys don't have a lot of big coats and gloves and sweaters since you are not used to getting pounded with freezing temperatures. It was so cold here this morning, when I stepped out on the porch this am it creaked and crinkled under my feet, the air was frozen still. Still is only 15F. It was 4F at 6 am.

Monday’s numbers:
Cals 1279 Fat: 95.03 Carbs 43.76 Prot: 65.69
B- Coffee w. HWC & CO L- taco salad with sour cream & guacamole D- beef stroganoff S-macadamia nuts I went to bed at a decent hour but was awoken by DS with a tummy ache at 3:30. Finally got back to sleep around 4:30 but with DS and the dog in the bed so was restless. I regret all the naps I refused to take as a child.
I’m in Washington State and we are 27 deg here with a high of 36 deg. So weird that I’m that much further north than most of you yet my temps are higher. Don’t get me wrong. It’s still frigging cold here and my car slid twice on my way to work. (Frozen rain) But at least no snow.
@bunniee You should post a pic of Tiny in her sweater. We have a very short haired dog, pug mix, and he has two sweaters. Of course they have skulls all over them to make him manlier!

Today was my second down day on JUDDD. I drank a bulletproof-style mocha this morning, even though coconut oil tends to trigger hunger. I did start to feel hungry around mid-afternoon but was able to ignore it. I had soup for dinner and ended today at 360 calories. It definitely helps to tell myself, I can eat whatever I want tomorrow as long as it's low carb.

Good morning everyone!! First day out of bed today ......feel like a rag doll (wobbly and weak)....BUT I GOT UP!!!!! I haven't dared to weigh myself.......will keep that joy for next week! Am a bit worried at how much weight I've put on....because my eating has been horrendous.....spent a few days in hospital (with the flu) where I just ate what was provided.....ugh! and haven't eaten properly since. One thing that I have noticed is how hungry I feel ......so I can't wait to get back to sensible eating. Christmas was a bit of a washout I'm afraid, but will concentrate on getting well and my diet. ( Will probably feel MUCH better once I start eating the right food). Hope you are all well and you're not in the middle of all that awful weather! Keep safe and warm! Blessings! x

I ended up eating plain yogurt after dinner, which put me at 460 calories. I had trouble getting to sleep last night, partly because I was so dang cold. I've read anecdotal reports of people saying they felt cold on down days, and of course the weather outside didn't help. I woke up early this morning and already had breakfast of scrambled eggs, cheese, sausage, and coffee with hwc & coconut oil.

Weight today 153.2. Curses! I thought of doing some fat fasts, or maybe rubbing snow all over myself and wearing an ice vest. I thought of doing a meat and egg fast or eating only orange foods and getting a voodoo doll. BUT, I feel pretty good and something is going on in my screwed up body so I guess I will just try not to freak out and hang out at 1200 to 1400 calories for a while. I might reign in my carbs a tad as I have been hitting 45 to 50 a lot lately. So if you catch me freaking out, how about yelling at me and telling me to settle down?

Anytime I am hungry I can't sleep worth a flip. I also get cold when I cut calories and this dang weather sure isn't any help cause it is so cold everywhere.

Chrispy, it's great to have you back! I'm so sorry that you have been so sick! The flu is pretty scary. Take it slowly, easing back into your usual activities.

Good morning all. I didn't put the fork down last night--an episode of emotional eating. But! It was all "my food". Nothing off even though "not my food" is available in my mom's apartment. That is an accomplishment worth crowing about. I've gone from hanging out here at night and going home after she's in bed to hanging out here at night and then sleeping here. This is better for me as far as a regular sleep pattern.
I ended the day with 46g carbs and 134g protein and 1869 cals. This is about double I usually eat in the first two categories. In the "it's always weird" department, the scale registered 2.5 pounds less this early morning (6 a.m.). I don't attribute it to anything in particular yesterday. We all know the body doesn't work that way as much as we want it to. I know getting back to my more regular sleep pattern helps as much as anything else.
BK 1.4 This was at 6 a.m. this morning. I am pleased. I did have cheese yesterday, so this lower number could be the piling on of carbs all at once last night, cheese, no way to tell really. Too many variables. At least I wasn't knocked out of NK.

Tuesday's numbers:
Cals: 1317 Fat: 91.03 Carbs: 42.4 Prot: 85.31
B-Coffee w/ HWC & CO L-Beef stroganoff D-Tuna salad S-Almonds, macadamia nuts, imitation lobster
Weigh in this morning: 270.6
I've lost 6.6 pounds since last Thursday in water weight and cheat bloat. Feeling better. So glad to be back on track.
Had freezing sleet last night so only had 3 boys at Cub Scout meeting. Too bad. We made bird feeders and practiced finger printing like the police. Unfortunately I thought my stamping ink pads were completely washable. 3 boys today are going to school looking like they have frost bite blackened fingers.
Funny story-at lunch yesterday I ran out to buy bird seed and baggies and brought it back to our lunch room to parcel out. My co-worker knows I'm on a "restrictive" diet and freaked out thinking I was going to eat the bird seed. Well, I could use more fiber-HA!

Good morning all. I didn't put the fork down last night--an episode of emotional eating. But! It was all "my food". Don't ya just hate what our emotions do to our eating? I've done well not doing that as I so want results, no matter my mood. Glad you stayed under the 50g of carbs. Here's to calmer days.....
