Thanks for the link! I bookmarked it to read the entire article later. It's interesting to see the different approaches to getting into ketosis. I'm still not exercising but may look into HIIT once I do. Michael Mosley did a show on HIIT for BBC Horizons. It was on PBS online for awhile but it seems they have since removed the video.

Thanks for the responses! Makes sense Really appreciate it, it gave me the kick in the butt to eat more calories today even though I'm not that hungry. Hellllllo chocolate sour cream. i dropped my calories too low, no appetite, and stopped losing weight - i found it impossible to eat more, i just got distracted, so i started having bulletproof coffee and throwing butter, coconut cream and cream into everything till i boosted my calories it a reasonable level i can really understand how people develop eating disorders

Good Morning everyone! No changes! After re-reading all the posts I don't think I'm eating enough! Although I always feel sated, and sometimes have to make myself eat. Today I will try to eat more and see what happens...........I have to say I feel so much better, no heartburn, no "gas" and my joint pain (especially in my hands ) is soooooooooo much better. I've also had rosacea for a couple of years and had become really disheartened......BUT I noticed this morning how much clearer, and dare I say, quite beautiful my skin has become!!!!! 'Hope you all have a lovely day ! Congrats for all those great losses! Hugs!

133.5 this morning, but it is TOM and I usually see a bigger bounce, so I'm good with it. Heading to Akron today to spend the day with the 447th MP CO, so it should be a good day

hi everyone! doing pretty good. stayed on track yesterday but did end up eating some PB with SF honey and cool whip...which isn't awful but still need to make sure I don't replace cream cheese with that newly discovered delight lol...hit nat groc yesterday and found what i think is a great deal - got me some nutiva organic EVCO 54oz for $21.50 yay! also picked up some "real salt" and it is really yummy!
Grabbed 2 more supplements ALA and CoQ10. the list of pills i'm taking is CRAZY but its already becoming more of a habit and not bugging me too much. My guy was grumpin about it this morning so trying to think of ways to make it easier for him...anyone else take a big load of pills daily?
loving the magnesium - wow, what a difference!
This morning had 3 large eggs in butter, coffee with HWC and EVCO. switched back to HWC from HH and noted that my appetite did feel more suppressed and at the end of the day WAY less carbs/sugar. Heading to 8a & 9a Jazz to have some stress relief and fun! Was going to do 2 classes yesterday but left after 1 because I got yard sale fever. Got sooo many cute things for my SO's daughter who is 7 and super girly/adorable, love shopping for a girl!! didn't find much for me or my son but did pick up some capris, haven't tried on yet but they're cute! Got 2 new purses in GREAT condition that are really cute and $1 each, woo hoo!
Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday!!!

I'm really torn now because I've been skipping breakfast (IF) and I can't seem to fit enough calories in during lunch and dinner. BUT, I feel awesome, and I like not even having to think about food at all until 2 PM or so. I've found any kinds of calories, be it actual food or just cream in my coffee, get my digestion going and then I'm food obsessed all day. Granted, I'm pretty small already so my TDEE is not that high. I figure 2, 3, or sometimes even 4 1000 calorie days a week isn't going to kill me. I really should start taking a multivitamin everyday because I don't eat that many veggies at 900 or 1600 calories.

Happy Sunday all. Sometimes i beat myself up about ups and downs, i need to try and remember to look at many periods of time not just day to day. It puts things into perspective when you look at the big picture (from the past) like this. Although when i go back to my earliest record of 330 On june 16th 2012 its not a big amount to lose in a year, it's not the diet's fault, its mine for going off plan sometimes and not tracking most of the time and likely spending the greater portion of the last year eating too much protein. But i am forgiving myself and moving on. heres my last week or so

cgo37, I found in the Phinney and Volek books last night that a person can burn 10-60g of fat per hour. That would mean you can burn at the lowest end, 1200 calories a day from your own body fat. The 60g is what they call the "butter ceiling" for athletes when training. That is 540 calories an hour!

Good Morning to all! Cheryl -- this is wonderful, you are doing so great. Keep it up, the slower the better, it seems to stay off that way! Taking a bunch of supplements?? Me too. Make sure the CoQ is the one that ends in -nol, otherwise you need to triple the dose to get the same benefit. I break up doses to make it easier. Take the water soluable ones before I eat; then fat soluable ones after breakfast. I leave the multi for after lunch, when I take my first magnesium. I try to always have capsules, that way you can take three or more at the same time easier. I try not to take in too much water, as it can disrupt digestion if you put a huge amount on full tummy. Heading out to garden this morning, it's hot here, but only going to get worse....oh, for those struggling to eat enough...just eat it! That is why I stalled for so long, didn't eat enough. Have a great day!

WW and Low fat was a struggle to stick too.

I hope your poison oak is 100% better, Cheryl. I've never had it myself, but I've heard it's pretty awful. When I was a kid I tromped around outdoors a LOT but I must not have been very sensitive to it. Now I'm sensitive/intolerant/allergic to so many things that I can only imagine what would happen if I got within half a mile of the stuff! Congrats on being in the 140's too!!!
Is Melanie out of town or something?
I was at 133.5 this morning. The scale moved, but not in the direction I was hoping. Sigh....
Bunnie, thanks for posting that link to Dr. Eades' blog article about (re)starting LC. I have read a few of his blog posts and really enjoyed them, but then I tend to forget to check back there. I guess I need to subscribe.
Any other LC or NK bloggers that I should follow?

Cooking breakfast this morning, I got distracted while my butter was heating up in the pan for my egg yolks... it all ended happily when I discovered the wonder of BROWNED BUTTER. Pretty sure all three meals are going to be bacon and eggs today as a result. Who knows? On days I'm hungry but I've already hit my protein goals, I might just brown some butter and sip on it. I love keto.

I made scrambled eggs for breakfast with 3 yolks and 1 white, they were so good! It seems wasteful to throw out the egg whites; maybe I'll ask my roommate if he wants them. I let the cat out to fool around in the grass while cooking breakfast, and he came running in a few minutes later to tell me it's raining. He seemed upset that I couldn't do anything about it. He never got to venture outside before moving in here, and doesn't understand things like rain and paws getting wet.
I have quite a few low carb blogs & sites bookmarked. I may start a new thread for the links so it doesn't get buried.
