Hellllo all, it's been awhile, but I'm back! I had my daughter on September 5, she is a doll :-) I gained 23 pounds while I was pregnant and had lost it all a week after I had her, but MAN nobody tells you pre-pregnancy weight is NOT equal to pre-pregnancy body. Yikes. I suppose I lost a ton of muscle because the minute I found out I was pregnant, I quit working out. Oh well. I've got to read some old posts to refresh my memory of what calories and protein grams I should be aiming for, but I'm excited to have bacon in my life again :-) I hope y'all are doin well! Hi Casey! Welcome back! Awwww. I know she is a beautiful little girl Congratulations to mommy and daddy Nah. I bet as soon as you get back on plan and active you'll tone right up again.

Yes congrats to Casey! I agree with Darin, you will bounce back.
Gotta go to Lowe's in the morning for a basin wrench so I can get the old bathroom faucet off. Yardwork in the morning, too. Plus I gotta decide and bring in the supplies for my guests breakfasts for Saturday and Sunday. It's a B&B thing and I won't be in the house. Had big lunch of bbq--meat no sauce which is no suffering for me. I never have like bbq sauce. And now that I read labels the ingredients are ghastly. I am at home tonight so no weigh-in tomorrow either. I am good with that. Maybe Saturday morning if sleep is good and rising is after 5 at least.

No kidding, I'm pretty sure most of it was just fluid. I had pretty awful hydronephrosis (water in my kidneys) from about May to September, so I took max strength hydrocodone my whole pregnancy.. Really killed my appetite and made me nauseous. She was fine though, 7 pds 2 oz.
I'm excited to get back to NK.. I just feel so much better!!
Has anyone read that book Keto Clarity? I saw it on Amazon, was wondering if it was worth the read.

Weigh-in this morning 183.0 for point four down from yesterday. I'm going to try to have a higher calorie day today because my average is drifting lower than I want. I'm a bit surprised there wasn't a bounce because I did some pushups, curls, dips, and body weight rows yesterday. Or maybe that is a bounce and I'd have seen 182.x had I not worked out. Obsession thy name is Scale.

A big one being that in most respects it was written for the completely uninitiated. So I wonder if the Keto book will be similarly directed towards a lower information audience. I plan on reading it but not enough to move it up my list to the top. Right now I am working through the 700 page monster of Montesquieu's The Spirit of the Laws.

I am inside cooling off before the last leg of mowing. Ugh. It is hot and I am out of shape. Oh well, it has got to be done. The replace-the-bathroom-faucet adventure became a misadventure which took much more time than I had allotted. Like by hours. Sheesh. Guests are not arriving until evening. I'll get the big stuff done and that will have to do.

But I got the wrong parts twice lol. Lots of driving to fix that stupid sink.

Well, I managed not to do myself in with the increased amount of activity yesterday. I am a little stove-up this morning. Not too bad though. I slept until 6 which was nice. It was funny when I got on the scale this morning and it said 129.2 my thought was "Is that right?" in the sense of under 130 again without trying much? I didn't jump around on the scale or do it again. I haven't done a weigh-in in quite a few days. I will take it.

Hey KK, going home on the horizon for you yet? At least at home you don't have to eat the carb-loaded hospital food.

Weigh-in this morning 183.3 and back down point five. I've been messing around with meal timing and intermittent fasting for the last several weeks. I was eating my last calorie block, to tweak protein grams (and KR if possible), as late as 7pm. Then I moved that back to trying to eat last calories by 5pm-ish. Then I moved my one big meal of the day back to 1pm to 2pm-ish with a smaller last block of tweak calories before 6pm-ish.
It's worked surprisingly well. In the past a one huge meal a day approach would never be productive past a couple of days. I assume it was too catabolic, and therefore too inflammatory, for me back then.
I've had several days of low calories and I like the satisfaction of having that sort of control over my mouth, having been such a fat out of control high-carb eater for so many years, but I fear the low calorie days. It is the terror that goes bump in the night. When I let my calories dip too low carby stuff starts sounding wonderfully satisfying. It is weird in a dual personality sort of way. I am shocked at myself in the 3rd person, like 'what is *he* thinking!?!', and have to give myself a mental slap for trying to rationalize rushing out to the store to buy something high carb. Get thee behind me low calorie evil thoughts.

Hey kids. Short post. I'm on my PC, but took a miracle to get me in the office and have room for an elevated leg, etc.....I got home late Friday. I'm still having lots of pain and am completely reliant on my spouse to do everything and I really hate this. I'm a workaholic with end of year/new year stuff just hanging and I can't see how I'm going to make it the 6 to 12 weeks I'm being told this is going to take to heal sitting on my very sore bum. I now live in the living room, have no muscle tone to use crutches or a walker so hubby is pushing me around on a wheeled office chair. I am told to put no weight what so ever on my leg. That is very tough. I live in a bilevel, so I won't be going out the door much. I scooted up the stairs backwards and wore myself out the first try.
off to read strength training for over 60 to see if I can do something to help myself. I'll check in when I can but don't have wifi and it's hard to get in this room. I did check ketones, 2.8 yesterday morning and 2.1 today. not eating much but know i have to if i'm going to heal.
have a great day everyone.............KK

Will you need any surgery? My sis went thru this back in February. It is rough, she had to use a wheel chair, the walker and crutches were just to hard for her to maneuver around on.
