Hey kiddos....dropped another pound after 4 days with no movement. Can ya see me smilin? Still on track. May be eating a few more calories but I'm not going to stress about it. I had a bad spell yesterday so today I stopped my cacao in my smoothy. Trying to eliminate all caffeine that I can. I used a couple extracts instead. I may do every other day of smoothies for both breakfast and lunch. I enjoy them and they really keep me full and going. Then just eat a bit for dinner. Looks like everyone is having some successes.....we all R O C K!! ok.........have a great evening. KK Hooray KK!!

Weigh-in this morning 183.2 and down 1.1 from yesterday but I think yesterday's WI was probably, reality versus scale weight, between 184.3 and this morning's WI.

Tuesday's numbers: Cals 1439 Fat 85.63 Carbs 24.41 Prot 75.81
No WI
Yesterday I rocked it! I felt so good when I went to bed that I hadn't self sabatoged. I can already feel a slight water weight loss as my rings are slightly looser. Drinking my water until I'm floating but it's helping me with energy. I know I'm off drinking traditional sodas-epsecially the brown ones, but I had an opportunity to try a Cucumber dry soda. It was 11 carbs but was so refreshing and a much more natural choice. A special treat every once in a while.
Hope y'all have a great day!

Oh. Here's a huge development. I quit drinking diet soda a few weeks ago. I drank a ton of that stuff. I did cut back a little but then I went cold turkey. It was a whole lot easier than I thought it would be too. I thought maybe it was messing with me on weight loss after I'd been LC (but not strict NK) for a few weeks. But that was really just a good excuse to jettison the soda. I already knew from my little failed adventure in quitting smoking a couple of years ago that it might take several weeks to get fat adapted again after being off plan.
I did start drinking iced tea sweetened with suclarose but I don't drink nearly as much of that as I did the soda.

Great to have the increased activity and posting with Darin and Cheryl back. And everyone is making progress on their own journey. I have weighed in a couple of days--poor sleep or up super early. I am glad I have learned to skip it on those mornings. Those mental gymnastics don't burn any energy. Ha! I didn't track things today after breakfast. Not still long enough to be interested in fiddling with that. I have guests in my house this weekend (B&B style). Big football game in town this weekend and I rented it out through a group that does that. I have a ton of work to do to make the place presentable for paying guests. Have a friend coming over to do the cleaning--real cleaning while I take care of the kazillion other things that needs be done to warrant the price of the rental. Next week there is a special olympics in town and a mom of an athlete has rented my home. I am using this money to update/fix a few things around the house. One new bathroom faucet, pay for house cleaning a couple of times, and a few other odds and ends that aren't expensive. Well, I will head to bed now hoping for long, luxurious sleep.

Weigh-in this morning up point two to 183.4. I really expected a big bounce after that big drop so I'm very happy with that WI.

Went to Bunco to benefit American Cancer Association last night with a friend. Very fun. They had food: Chicken "Caesar" salad which was good and a quinoa vegetable soup. I don't know how to enter that. I'm pretty sure quinoa is carby. It was just ok. A couple of glasses of red wine, I probably went over my 50 carbs but not too bad I think. But that meant I missed out on DH's yummy Salmon for dinner Ran late this morning so no WI. We bought a Kureg coffee maker at work so I was able to get coffee with H&H and liquid stevia (but no CO). Better than nothing, but definitely not as yummy! I have my plan set for today: Cheddar/broccoli soup & Italian salad for lunch, Chicken strips (using seasoned almond flour & crushed pork rinds) & broccoli with butter for dinner. Yum! I hope you all have a great Thursday. My thoughts are with you KK!

Ok (sorry to be blowing up the thread) but I entered my projected food into FS and the resulting numbers were ridicules. Should I stick to my plan my calories would only be 968 for the day. WHAT?!?! With foods like cheese soup, salad dressing, butter, and pork rinds? So my thought was, if I eat this many low calorie days, why am I fat? So I took a blank day and loaded in what I remember eating before going LC.
Oh. Yeah, that's right.
Cals 3900 Fat 152.98 Carbs 385.87 Prot 100.17 Sodium 6275
B- Diet coke L- McD's Chx nuggets w/ sauce and FF w/ ketchup, Large diet coke D- Pizza w/ garlic butter dipping sauce & beer & extra bread S(all after dinner)- Beer, nachos, cookies
3040 calories eaten between 6:00pm-11:00pm. :sick:All while completely sedentary on the couch. Only getting up for another beer.
That's why I'm fat. It's been a long time since I've eaten this way but I ate this way for 20 years.
With LC my knees and ankles don't creak and pop, my gut doesn't constantly gurgle loudly, I'm not nearly as gassy & bloated; my feet, ankles, & hands aren't swollen painfully; my headaches are fewer, my skin is more clear and soft. And I will lose this extra weight.

No better proof that it is not primarily about the calories It takes time to heal up a broken metabolism and years of abuse. You are doing good. Maybe watch out for eating too little like clueless said

I agree. I am truly NOT trying to lower my calories. I know it has nothing to do with calories for me. I'm just surprised that once you take out the bread and carbs with how low calorie my normal way of eating is. I ate a cup of creamy cheddar broccoli soup and salad with cheese, black olives, salami, pepperoni, and red wine Italian dressing-decadent by any standards- and because I didn't add bread or crackers the calories are only 352. It's 3:30 here and I'm still feeling full. It just still amazes me sometimes. Thanks!

Hellllo all, it's been awhile, but I'm back! I had my daughter on September 5, she is a doll :-)
I gained 23 pounds while I was pregnant and had lost it all a week after I had her, but MAN nobody tells you pre-pregnancy weight is NOT equal to pre-pregnancy body. Yikes. I suppose I lost a ton of muscle because the minute I found out I was pregnant, I quit working out. Oh well.
I've got to read some old posts to refresh my memory of what calories and protein grams I should be aiming for, but I'm excited to have bacon in my life again :-)
I hope y'all are doin well!
