Weight today 152.2. I felt my feet swell up last night. I wonder if I flirted to close to the carb cut off for me.

:rofl:Whiskey supplement :jumpjoy:Hooray for 129! Yeah, my joints hurt pretty badly this morning, though. I think my gluten intolerance has gotten to the point where I can't even drink spirits made from grains. I don't think there's any wheat involved in the distillation process for Jack Daniels, but I'd suspect corn, rye, and/or barley is involved. Nope, nope, nope. I'll stick to wine.

I cooked birthday dinner for my husband tonight, slow roasted saltbush lamb with tons of veggies...yummy
I made rhubarb cobbler for dessert, pretty much carb free, sweetened with stevia and topped with crumble made from almonds and coconut - it was so hard to get my brain around eating it, it felt like I was indulging in something so sweet
Weight this morning, 97.4 so that's mor than a half kg drop since yesterday (over 1lb), the weight seems to be just falling off me, I think I've found the sweet spot

Yup, Jack Daniels is made from corn, barley malt, and rye. Supposedly it is gluten free due to the distilling process, but I wouldn't trust it. I rarely drink these days but when I do, it's usually vodka made from potatoes or corn.

I just ran 3 miles and kept smelling it on myself the whole time!

135 this morning, down a little from yesterday. Still have some sore muscles but was happy to join my running club this morning to walk a little over 4 miles. So I'm slowly ramping up my mileage again with a little over 9 miles this week

129.4 this morning. I'm not even ashamed that I supplemented with whiskey to get me there. Yesterday: 1783 calories 136g fat 81g protein 13g carbs B: coffee w/ 1T HWC, 3 egg yolks cooked in butter, 3 slices bacon, 1 oz macadamia nuts L: 5 egg yolks cooked in butter, 3 slices bacon S: 1 oz macadamia nuts D: 4 oz baked chicken mixed with lots of butter and 1T grated parmesan--this tasted awesome Evening: 3 whiskey & diets Also went to the gym and did some push/pull exercises and ab work. I've lost some strength. Hooray for 129s!!!

L: 5 egg yolks cooked in butter, 3 slices bacon Casey, how long do you cook your yolks? I barely cook mine at all. It is more like I warm them up than cook them.

It probably wasn't the carbs since you've eaten at that level before without this happening. Maybe it was the type of carbs you ate? And we can't rule out coodies from DH How's his recovery coming along?

Maybe 2 minutes over medium heat. I usually eat them sunny side up unless the yolk breaks in the pan. Sometimes they're still cold on top when I take them off the heat.

I bet fruit or veggie carbs would not have done that as bad. DH looks 100% better but he is still tired and achy. His color last week was pretty worrisome, he looked almost gray.

:dance:I found a Mp3 player at a yard sale for $3.00 today. Now I can use one just for music and keep one for podcasts and radio shows. Pretty cool. Oh and more skinny clothes for $1 and under.

I wanted to turn it off as soon as I saw Dr. Oz's smug face. I'm just going to listen to the audio.

That reminds me, I need to look harder for the mp3 player I lost. I know it's around somewhere, probably in my bedroom or in the car. I can listen to mp3's on my phone but it drains the battery quickly. I use Amazon's cloud service as backup storage for my mp3's and it's great. I think it's about $20 a year for 5 gb and I got the first year free. It isn't limited to music I purchase from Amazon either, I can upload any mp3.

OH MY GAWD!!!! Look at that video! Gary taubes looks almost the same now 11 yrs later, but I was astounded at how much Dr Oz has aged since that video. I goggled a video with Taubes in 2013 and he hasn't aged to much of a noticeable degree but look at OZ. AMAZING! What diet does Taubes follow, what diet does Oz follow. I am going with Taubes.

Hey, you yard sale peoples, do ya'll see a lot of weights at those sales? I mean, dumbbells and barbells type stuff and is it something you see fairly often or not very often? I'm doing a lot of body weight exercise but I want to work specifically on my biceps/triceps with dumbbells or barbells.

I did see a nice set of weights last week. It was a set of dumbells with a few extra weights. They were pretty much brand new. I didn't ask a price. I saw a bench one week too. It is all pot luck at yard sales. Ya never know what you are gonna find. That is what makes it so much fun. DD got an Ipod touch for $3.00. We don't know if that one works or not yet. She has to get a charger from her friend. I found one of those wall mountable Koala changing tables, the kind you find in public bathrooms, a few weeks back. They run over $150.00. Got it for $3.00

They especially liked the part where he broke out into prayer, right there, with a yard full of people. I thought my kids were gonna crawl under a table. But I will tell you that I barely have any goiter left at all. It is super small. Something is helping it.
