glad you liked the chicken dip, crispy.
Vicky, I like chili and hot dogs too. It's one of my meals I sprinkle in to keep from getting bored with salad and plainly cooked meat.
No loss today, but it's groovy to be in the 150's. I wore a closet-shopping button down shirt yesterday. I could reach across the card table without popping through the spaces between the buttons lol

Thanks for the interpretation of a bounce and whoosh. I wish to whoosh a little more often.

how wonderful to see all these losses! i'm not surprised by my WI today 176.8 ugg. Figured the 175 wouldn't stick if I actually ate yesterday lol...don't feel like I over did it but didn't count/track food, just didn't have the motivation, felt like I was full of sodium/water today so hoping it just goes back down. Not going to get too upset from the increase since I already knew I felt heavier and when I stepped on the scale my fear was going back over 177 and at least I didn't do that. Started this morning with a lot of work stress. Working from home today and made a big error, finally got it fixed. Ate like 4-5 big dill pickle spears first thing. Didn't weigh or keep too good of count so logged in food best I could; figured if I'm off a bit on the pickles it's not the end of the world. Having my cold coffee now with 5 oz HWC and 5 splenda packets. Hoping my working at home and high stress from work doesn't drive me to the kitchen to eat crap or overeat...going to try super hard to stay on it today. hope everyone has a GREAT monday...hoping mine gets better and better lol...

It is very unusual for me to see a new low and not bounce the next day, sometimes a really big bounce too. Cheryl bounced after her new low yesterday as well. I always think of it as the body over reacting by retaining fluid. If you get into a situation where stress is making you eat just eat as low carb as possible. Stick with meats and fats and avoid the other stuff. Going over on protein may cause insulin to go up but nothing like carbage will. And don't worry too much about calories either in a situation like this. Consider it to be LC triage for unusual predicaments like super high stress days.

Thank you for this response as I was just going to post that high stress caused me to just cook and eat then was feeling like, oh great another day like yesterday...but think I'm ok. Made a t-bone and rib eye then fried 3 eggs (prob large, they are free range farmer eggs mmmm) in the fat left from the rib eye. Made my SO 3 eggs in the t-bone fat. Made bacon in the oven from farmers market, had 3 pcs mmmmmmm with my 3 eggs. Stuck steak in the fridge for a meal for later today. For breakfast had like 4 or 5 pickle spears and cold coffee with 5 oz hwc. Going to enter in some estimates on what I ate to just get an idea of what it kinda looks like so far today but yeah, can't worry too much about calories since nothing was weighed out. Going to try really hard not to eat much else other than steak...feel like I want to have a sweet tooth but at the same time nothing sounds good...weird. Drinking lots of water now while taking my vitamins/supplements. Going to have some glutamine after I'm done w/ my water...Read somewhere that helps curb carb cravings. Taking my 5-htp and primrose now...that may help too. What do you do if you feel like you just wanna eat something crappy? I know working out can help and some brush their teeth...curious how else you guys may curb any urges to just eat?

Not nearly as bad as it sounds kinda bypass the taste buds to hit the back of throat... a straw works too. Great for indigestion, soaking bruises, and cleaning the shower stall and windows . Didn't know about the brushing teeth thingy anyway be sure you get it off your teeth anyway you choose. Christine

Christine Christine, I didn't know about that either, till my teeth started hurting anytime I drank something hot or cold. I was just brushing my teethe after the vinegar. I used sensodyne or something for a few weeks and all that went away thank goodness.

RoBiN <3 - if I'm craving carbage, I fill up on protein and fat. That usually takes care of it. If I'm hungrier than usual but not for carbs, sometimes I ignore my appetite and other times I just eat more and don't worry about the calories. One of the great things about NK for me at least, is that it's so much easier to get past feelings of hunger, especially when it's more in your mind than your belly.

hiya kiddlettes!! Two days in a row....wow...it's a miracle!!! Well okay...so not an actual miracle <don't be calling the Pope or anything>, but a personal best record for me!! I've decided to ease up a little bit on myself...at least for a while. As long as Im fed, and watered everyday, feel full when I leave the table, and have a bit of each protein, fat and carbs with every meal...I'm not going to worry about not getting "enough" or maybe eating a little too much...(except carbs of course) I'm spending way too much time worrying about keeping everything in balance and even that it's driving me batty. So I'm waiving the white flag in surrender. That being said... my stats are as follows: cal : 1570 fat : 99.59 77% carb: 19.62 5% prot: 72.87 18% B: coffee, CO, chicken salad, protein powder, butter. L: spring mix salad, olive dressing, EVOO D: homemade chicken/veggie soup S: bacon nuggets

I'm spending way too much time worrying about keeping everything in balance and even that it's driving me batty. So I'm waiving the white flag in surrender. There isn't really any balance Vicki. The priority is eating in the target range of protein and keeping calories reasonable - not too high or low. Carbs are always under 50g. Don't stress out about it unless there is some need to get really granular with what you are doing.

What do you do if you feel like you just wanna eat something crappy? I know working out can help and some brush their teeth...curious how else you guys may curb any urges to just eat? For the last several months I just eat if I feel like eating. I might try to distract myself by doing something to keep busy. If I really am hungry I try to eat something very LC depending on how many carbs I've eaten so far. Even if it means blowing my calorie goal for that day. When you think about it, you probably don't have that kind of day too often so shooting past your calorie goal instead of blowing your carb goal is far superior. Sure, if you overeat consistently you'll gain weight eventually but an off day here or there probably won't matter.

:dance:On a roll!! Vicki, what is a bacon nugget? :yummy:You are teasing me... Cheryl... :faint:Wash your mouth with vinegar woman!! One simply does NOT tease about bacon (shudder) I was shopping at Big Lots the other day and found them in the food section. Made By Hormel. They might even be in the regular stores still. Im not sure. At first I thought it was bacon bits, but the chunks are much bigger. The package is black and purple, and it says Black Label - Real Bacon Snackin' Nuggets. It also says they are peppered. Which leads me to think there may be other flavors out there. So I will definately be on the look out. Off to work!!

RoBiN <3 What do you do if you feel like you just wanna eat something crappy? I know working out can help and some brush their teeth...curious how else you guys may curb any urges to just eat? Robin, when I want something I eat sf jello. If that won't do I have something salty and spicy, hot pork rinds or stuffed jalapeno. Sometimes I will eat a salad and try to fill up on lots of lettuce with some salad dressing. I also pop on some good music for a distraction. I come here and check in on what's going on to get motivated. I will also chew some gum.

TOM slipped up with no warning a few days early. Didn't seem to gain any water weight.
