Can you eat those things??? As much as I like spicy food I cannot eat hot pork rinds. The first one is really good and after that my mouth is on fire.

Good morning my friends! Well it was too good to be true...bounced back one pound I bounce around a lot. I think that NK's ceiling on carbs has a lot to do with it because you are always in a transient state where fluid is concerned. That is, what the body considers to be a stable window of water retention is bigger and more flexible when eating NK. What is really interesting is that the great weight stabilizer is eating too little. I've seen lots of posts from people doing either straight Atkins or their own version of it on induction level carbs that are stalled and almost every time they are not eating enough. Eating too much can also be a weight stabilizer with LC - not losing and not gaining.

Weigh in this morning was 146.8 Interesting. That is probably why you had that modest one pound bounce after your HIT workout day before yesterday. I wonder if the McGuff/Baye style regimen plus mono fats is the most effective combination for leveling out the time of month fluctuations?

Bounced. 2.6lbs. I want whoosh.
Question. Does anyone notice they gain the day after a workout? If I do a big workout, I always go up.

I love the Texas Pete chipotle ones, they don't seem that hot to me. DH loves um too. They must not be as hot as the ones you have tried. O man they are good.

Weigh-in this morning ... 182.0!! Wow. A new low the day after a new low. I've never done that before. And I had to edit my food log post because I was watching Moon, which is a really excellent movie if you have my eccentric taste in movies, and I wanted a snack. So I had about 2.5oz of BBQ pork rinds some time after 10pm. Although the last two HITs I've had losses the next day I figured there was no way I'd see two consecutive new lows so there was no reason not to indulge in a snack when I was already high on protein for the day.

Yes, when I was doing my 4 round routine every other day before switching to the one round shorter every 5th day HIT McGuff/Baye routine I am doing now I had a big bounce almost every time. It is pretty annoying but it is just water weight. It is really annoying if you are tracking weekly averages because it throws your average way off.

My TOM started this morning and knew I shouldn't dare step on the scale but did it anyway. 177.6 Whatever, it ticked me off and I'm sure being TOM doesn't help my emotional reaction of wanting to just throw the darn thing out the window but again, whatever lol...at least I'm not back where I was over 190 again, trying to focus on that. Had coffee for breakfast. Ate a LC prot bar. Had a salad w/ ranch for lunch then another coffee; heading into a staff meeting from 12-3; praying it doesn't really last that long! and think after this coffee will fast rest of day till morning...surely got enough calories and the salad had meat/cheeses on it so hoping w/ the prot bar (30g prot) and the cheeses/meats that I am fine for the day; not feeling like I'm all that hungry anyway, just wanted chocolate and the prot bar closest thing to a safe choice while at work. Dep on how I feel tomorrow may do a FF and prob just stay off the scale till I'm done being miserable with TOM, although I knew it was supposed to be soon and of course did a happy dance at starting but then the scale infuriated me LOL...but will say the cramps and binge eating haven't been nearly the issue it's been before! Thank goodness the primrose may be helping!! Have a great day y'all!

Vicky, hang in there. Just count your carbs and make sure you eat some protein. You don't need to track everything all the time. You can do this.
Darrin, wtg on the new low after the low.
I didn't weigh today. I forgot to eat lunch. I should do something about that. Venison for dinner, or maybe chicken if I feel like cooking any. Husband won't be home for dinner, as it is his volunteer night. I'm having green beans, or am I having salad? Hmmmm.
(LOL and that's what a non-tracking day looks like in my world)

Update: I ate a small lunch.
ounce of brie, 2 oz venison, and a few cucumbers in sour cream and vinegar. It was good. I'll have dinner around 7:30 to make sure I digested lunch first. Since we both got into the venison, I'll probably cook the chicken tonight, which is fine because I've been wanting chicken salad.

ugh, today has been kind of horrible. I only took in 725 calories yesterday, because I didn't have much food in the house and wouldn't have $$ in my bank account until this morning. I woke up with a massive headache and feeling kind of shaky, but didn't have time to run to the store and buy food to prepare for breakfast.
I stopped at 7-11 to gas up the car on my work to work, and went in and got a turkey & cheese sandwich. Probably not the best choice but I felt awful and needed to eat. I only ate part of the bread but it still ended up being about 40 carbs. I did feel better right after eating, but the headache has lasted all day. I'm home now and took some ibuprofen, hopefully it will kick in soon. It got up to 107F here, which probably did not help.

Wet a washrag, wring it out and lay down in a darkened cool room with it over your forehead Lisa. I wonder if it was partly because of an electrolyte imbalance? If you get in that situation again, drink some salt water and maybe pop a magnesium and potassium pill. I don't know if that will actually do anything but it is worth trying because that not-eating headache is a killer.

The ibuprofen is starting to work and I'm drinking more water. The funny thing is, I passed up buying a protein bar because it was 30 carbs and cost $3, and somehow ended up with the sandwich, which had more carbs and cost $4. I was clearly not thinking rationally. I'm going to wait another hour or so before grocery shopping, and hope the temperature drops a little. It's nearly 7 pm here and 102F outside.

reddarin - I thought the headache & feeling sick might be partly due to electrolyte imbalance, but I was so out of it I didn't think about drinking broth or taking supplements. My grocery store took $5 off the bill because I used their Android app for savings.

If a fat fast helps you get past TOM cravings, that might be a good thing, but I wouldn't push it if you are not feeling up to it.

Weigh in this morning was 146.8. TOM slipped up with no warning a few days early. Didn't seem to gain any water weight. Do you think the flax meal is why you didn't notice any water weight gain this month? My tolerance for flax seems to be about 4 tablespoons per day. I'm hoping that is enough to reap the benefits. I haven't been using olive oil as much, I keep forgetting about it. I should start adding a spoonful to my ground beef & cabbage bowls.

Everything I read says 2 TBSP a day is what is needed. For a while I was trying to get in a little at every meal but now I just shoot for 2 TBsp.
