I am pretty boring as far as food these days and I am okay with that. I grow less and less hungry mentally in the sense of I am beginning to be willing to wait until my body tells me I am hungry rather than eating for any other reason (boredom, anxiety, time since last meal). Not attempting to achieve anything such as a particular IF or to see how long I can go. I merely am learning to listen for that signal. Not a daily occurrence yet but I am beginning to understand what that feels like and to go with it. When I am hungry I don't attempt to stretch it out for some amount of time. Nope. I eat!

Hi, I'm back. Sorry if you felt lonely this weekend rejoicealways8. Hard for me to access this site on the weekends. Most of the weekend went well. The weather was great but I didn't get out into the yard yet.
Unfortunately Sunday night the toilet plumbing upstairs burst (again) and flooded the downstairs family room & bathroom. YUK!!!!! Now we have to call a plumber who will have to go through the ceiling (we have in-ceiling radiant heat). So future repairs to that heating will be necessary. So much stress! I've had to dip into savings every month since November for home or dog repairs.
It hasn't really effected my eating. I'm simply not hungry! So no stress eating. Funny-stress with DH fighting I eat comfort food. Stress with finances/scheduling I have no appetite. I suppose I should analyze that but I don't want to right now.
I don't have a plan for today. I'm pretty sure I'll have to run errands on my lunch hour so may just stick with a protein shake on the go.
Let's hope today goes well for all.

Oh, Storytha, that's crummy about the plumbing troubles. May it be fixed soon and well!
I keep poking along here in a good state of mind. I put away the scale again. By that I mean I've left it at my house so the only time I could weigh would be Friday mornings because Thursday night is my night at home. Sticking to my eating plan. Drinking a little less coffee and a little more water. All good.

I'm glad your getting the water in. I realize now just how much my body needed water all these years and didn't get it. However, when the plumbers have all your water turned off and the "2-3 hours to fix it" has turned into 6+ (and they're still not done) then you realize all that water wasn't such a good idea. Thank goodness for the kindness of neighbors!
I've been thinking about making a weekly meal plan for lunches and pre-prepping it. I find my "cheats" often come from lack of a pre thought out plan and then it leaks over into dinner. I really hate sack lunches, but maybe like the water, if I just do it and stick to it for a while I'll feel differently.

Life is GOOD! I am feeling great today. I love love love that this WOE creates such energy. Brain fog seems to be lifting some. Sun is out, birds are singing. My neighbor's crocus flowers are blooming.
Though I might just be excited. I'm going for my tattoo today after work. YAY! My second (Sorta my third as I've relined/recolored my first when I was in New Orleans-Voodoo Tattoo-gotta love it!) I've actually taken tomorrow off work. I have too much vacation stacked up and I need to shave it down, so I thought I'd take the day off for after care (no itchy work clothes rubbing sore skin). Also I'm using that day to reorganize my lunch food. I've bought some bento type Tupperware to help.
Also on Thursday I will be going back to the imaging center. They found some problems with my mammogram I got last month and want to do an ultra sound. I refuse to be worried (I keep trying to tell myself! ) With larger breasts, even 3D mammograms have difficulty reading through the density. (Sorry if TMI Darrin) I'm sure it's nothing. (crosses fingers)
Ok! Plan is made for today. Coffee is drank, time to get down to work. Gotta earn those days off, right?
Happy Hump Day! I'll be back on Friday.

So glad you're are feeling life with zing, Storytha! Keep doing that. Stay away from the food that takes that feeling go away. The tattoo sounds fun and the doc/mammogram not so much. Good for you for adopting a no-worry attitude. Probably a shadow that isn't about you at all. Hope so.
No big news going on around here even in the food department. I am plain and I am okay with it.
OH YEA THE PLUMBING IS FIXED!

Burst of cold here. I am home tonight thus will weigh in the morning. Sticking to plan and content in it. I know the weight release will come eventually. I am not fiddling with anything about that.

At home this morning, slept well, 137.8 on the scale. As mentioned before I am not fiddling with eating to attempt to fiddle with that for now. I am drinking a little less coffee and am having it this morning without anything in it. I was only doing a little coconut oil so it isn't a big change. So I guess I am fiddling a little, but nothing drastic.

Hi. First-the mammogram/ultra sound went fine. Just two cysts (no pain) and one tiny benign lump. But annual visits for me now to make sure. (SIGH of relief!!)
The tattoo went great. Hurt like hell! My mental mantra through the whole 30 minutes was, "Why do I do this to myself?!?! It F*%$ing HURTS!" but pain is quickly forgotten and pleasure at pretty art reigns.
Food was awesome yesterday. Cals 1695 Fatt 126.38 carbs 14.80 Prot 81.42
B- BP coffee & babybell cheese L- Steak and wedge salad, martini D- bacon, deviled eggs, cheddar cheese
Water: 110oz (my usual now)
I weighed in this morning but I don't like the number so I'm going to ignore it. I do feel slightly bloated-maybe from the martini or sodium or hormones or stress-you pick. Definitely inflammation from my tat healing.
Friday used to be pizza and movie night in my house. But pizza is still banned (though they did have freezer pizza when I was at my tat appt until 7:30-that's fine) and DH is going out of town for the day, so experiment with new recipe time!! I'm thinking pork fried cauliflower rice and egg drop soup. I'll be surfing the recipe internet during my lunch hour.

Yea that all is well in mammogram-land! ... great to see that your calories are up some.
Today was the second day without any CO added to my coffee. I didn't set out to do that, merely seemed the next step in the journey.
I go to NYC a week from today and oh my, oh my, wouldn't it be wonderful if my body let go of 3-5 pounds between now and then? Yes it would! Still I am not going to do anything to attempt to make that happen. It will come off when it is ready. I know I am eating the way I ought for my best health.

Weekend was AWESOME. I ate great LC foods and saw a loss of some water weight. But then Sunday night I absentmindedly ate a hamburger with a bun and some Doritos. I had skipped lunch due to a late and filling breakfast and by dinner I just wasn't thinking. Back on track today! Going bowling tonight so I will get my exercise and just have to avoid the pizza and beer. This is a charity bowling thing for Junior Achievement so I don't think they'll be pushing the beer too much. I've already got my large cold water bottle packed. Should be fun.
I did find out that DD is skipping lunches. Usually 2 days a week. I do see a bit of weight loss on her, but this is not the way to do it! I'm going to talk about it with her again tomorrow. "I just wasn't hungry" is what she says. I've stocked up on healthy snacks for her and DS for after school.
Hope all your weather is starting to clear up. It's truly beautiful here. I wish I could be rolling around in the grass and sunshine. But back to work.

Wonder of wonders I had a full night of sleep. No up even to pee and I didn't wake at all until 6:20 a.m. This is a great gift to me. Hopefully, its sisters will come visit straightway. Glad you had a wonderful weekend. That's interesting about your not thinking about the burger bun. I can't imagine that for myself. When I've done that it isn't without thinking and usually with guilt soon thereafter that I wanted to eat it and did. I go to Connecticut this Saturday and because of my mother's usual care schedule, I will be at home to sleep Thursday and Friday (it is usually only Thursday), in Conn. Saturday-Monday, home and back on task Tuesday. I am thinking my close-by sister will come visit at the end of next week so I'd be home sleepng Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This is good for me. Maybe I'll pick up something at my house. Tee-hee.

Gloomy day, bad sleep, slight headache. Feeling moody today. And I was late getting up so no BP coffee. I'll get some coffee with H&H at work, but it's just not the same. I'm sure I'll turn this day around! I just hope I learn my lesson and go to bed early.

Thanks Pam. My day did get better. A little coffee and afternoon sunshine helped bring me around. Hope your day was well. DH made dinner last night of Grilled salmon & asparagus with hollandaise sauce. OMG! So Good! I'm glad grilling season is coming back. I think Brats and sauerkraut are going to be in my future. Going out to eat for lunch today with co-workers. I don't know where yet, but I'm confident I can find my food on any menu now. Even pizza parlors have salads here now. Have good sleep in your own bed tonight.

Wow it's Friday. Yay!
"When the Forsythia is in bloom, the roses you must prune" an old saying from my Grandma. Well the forsythia outside my office window is blooming like crazy so I guess I'll be out in the yard this weekend. Getting good exercise and fresh air. (and dragging the kids with me )
Hope you all have a great weekend. Stay focused on your goals and have fun!
I'll be back Monday.

I am in Connecticut until Tuesday. My daughter is getting married on Monday--civil ceremony at the New York City Courthouse. I got here yesterday. I managed to eat my way in two airports and at her apartment last night...Dinner was a steak, a bit of cheese, and wine. I can't drink wine (or any alcohol) much anymore. Gives me a roaring headache in the early morning hours.
Hope you're having a grand time out in your yard, enjoying spring.

Congratulations to your daughter. How wonderful!
Weather ended up being gloomy and rainy, so no yard work. But got a lot done inside. My sleep has been bad-up past midnight last 3 nights. I need to stop that. It might explain the one carby thing I ate each day. Bread one day and hash browns the other. I didn't go to far over 50 carbs, but far enough. Lovely taco salad will be for lunch. I don't know what's for dinner yet.

Got home yesterday. Was able to stick to meat and cheese for the trip. Drank water, wine, and coffee. Trouped about NYC on Monday so was sore Tuesday--though not in a particularly bad way. Long day traveling home yesterday and back to regularly scheduled programming today.

Sounds like you had a great weekend all the way around. But yes, it is nice to get back to routine.
Sipping my yummy BP coffee and planning my day. I'm thinking dinner will be meatloaf with crushed pork rinds-I've got a partial bag I need to use up and they're too stale for dipping now. I didn't pack a lunch so I'll head to Subway for a Tuna salad. I like it with the banana peppers to add a tiny kick.
I'm now rocking 6 months no Soda Pop. Yippie!
Happy hump day!!

Keep staying away from soda pop--in all its forms...It is worth it. I gave them up in 1998. I had tapered off for months, was down to one a day -- it was diet Dr. Pepper -- and on a trip to Europe, I looked to order one. It was so wildly expensive I told myself "this is stupid." So I quit. Never miss them and would probably gag if I had to sip one. Real or fake sugar. What are you doing with that money you used to spend on them?
I get to sleep at my house the next three nights. Yea!

I did have a part of a regular sprite at one point and almost spit it out. Nasty! I can't imagine what Diet Coke (my old favorite) would taste.
Yay sleep! What a nice break for you.
Last few days have been relatively uneventful. Donuts in the coffee room? Sent them home with my interns at 1:00. DH brought home a pumpkin pie? Fixed a cream cheese, HWC, & vanilla Stevia treat that was 10 times better than some old stupid grocery store pie! Forgot to pack a HF/LC lunch? Tuna salad at Subway!
Yup!

We have company in town and took them to PF Chang's this Saturday. I had the beef with broccoli-yum! and cucumbers with sesame seeds (ok). Didn't even miss the rice! I suspect there was quite a bit of sugar in the sauce, but I had had a LC day.
But, yesterday during the day the darn PLUMBING blew again!!! GRRR I am so done with plumbing. We've finally ripped out the whole ceiling and replacing every inch of old pipes in that area. It's expensive but I'm NOT going through all of this again! It's been less than 3 weeks since last time. I was totally craving a peanut butter/banana milkshake all afternoon! But I did not cave. Was interesting to see such a direct cause and effect in myself: Stress=sweets. I should buy some protein shake flavors so I could have substituted. Still would be considered stress eating, but "good for you" stress eating. Win
Hope you had a great weekend!

I did have a good weekend. My sister was in town and that makes it fun. We saw the new movie Cinderella. Great fun. Highly recommended.
Plumbing! Ugh! Great way that you handled that in your food choices.
My own stress area at the moment is the mother-of-the-bride dress making that isn't going well. I am not making. Well I wasn't. I might be now that it hasn't worked out with the seamstress I was working with. The big difficulty is now that I leave for Costa Rica on 6 April....two weeks from yesterday. Sigh. I am not a great seamstress but I may have to attempt it. Thankfully I have friends that are and perhaps they'll be willing to coach me through it. Calgon take me away!

Two days and the upstairs toilets work again. This SHOULD fix it. There is 100% new plumbing (and even one new toilet) from upstairs all the way to the escape in the garage floor. Great plumbers-very nice. I hope I never see them again! Now dry wall, texture, paint, deep clean the carpet and couch, buy new heating system before Fall, and cross our fingers. That milkshake craving was the only one I had, so glad I stayed focused!
Pam, I'm sorry about your dress. What a headache. I'm sure you can make it work. Besides, that's what friends are for-I'm sure their advise will help. If not, there is always the magic of the internet. I'm sure there are how-to videos out there for the tricky stuff (button holes have always stumped me). I made my Senior prom dress (way back in the day) and some costumes but have a rinky-dink machine and don't attempt "real" clothes anymore.
Glad your sister was in town. I've asked my DD (12 going on 30) if she wants to see Cinderella and she just gave me a "look". I'll have to wait for Netflix and secretly watch it.
That's great about your Costa Rica trip! So glad you can get away! You deserve it. Oh wait, is that were the wedding is?
I feel great today. Had a crappy night's sleep thanks to DH's snoring. (I'm stopping by to buy his new CPAP mask today!) but I have my meals planned, my day planned, and am feeling like a productive member of society.
Hump Day!!!!!!!

Allergies hit me like a ton of bricks last night. This morning my head feels huge and packed full of cotton. Sinus headache, stuffy and runny nose at the same time. Ugh!!! At lunch I'm going home and going back to bed. It there were anyone to watch the office before that I'd already be gone. And I've taken my Claritin-it just doesn't seem to be working as well as it usually does.
I hope you have a great weekend!!

Hey Storytha, yes it is the same two people getting "married" in Costa Rica...destination wedding with the legal part of getting married already taken care of. Thanks for your encouragement about the dress. I am sure it will be fine. I've about got the test dress, made in muslin, to fit. It's put together and now am doing the important part of making it fit best so that I am not figuring it out on $20+/yard silk. Oh, I love an adventure. Plumbing. Yea! I have come to believe that plumbers who do their jobs well and in good humor are worth every penny they charge... As far as a new thread, I have no difficulty leaving it just as it is. It isn't important to me....I seemed to have passed through the allergy sensitive part of spring for me. This pleases me obviously. It is another glorious weather day today. Mine will be filled with sewing and with some yard projects to use as a break. Ain't bad for a Saturday. Happy weekend to you.
