Feeling much better today thankfully, yesterday was a bit of a nightmare although I really don't think it had anything to do with the FF and everything to do with the fact that my detox bath took a LOT out of me and I need to learn to take those late at night and not midday! Not sure if the new supplements are the cause for me feeling better, or if it's something else. Is it even possible for supplements to make you feel a bit better on the first day? Who knows I even had enough energy to clean a bit while I was waiting on SO to text me and let me know they were discharged, so that was a positive thing. I was finally able to take all of my new clothes out of the bags they've been in since I bought them and hang them up in my closet. My closet doesn't look so bare anymore Been sleeping on the couch in the living room for the past almost two years now, and I finally feel like I can move back into my room and sleep in my own bed again... problem is, my room's been a storage area since I left it and there's a LOT of cleaning to do before I can even lay on the bed at all ) Ah well, one day at a time right? Sticking to my FF today 100% so far, minus the fact that I goofed and forgot that I wasn't going to have my cod liver oil until dinnertime... no biggie though, that's technically a supplement and not food related but I still count the calories because it's an oil. At least I remembered about it at all, that's progress!

I just wanted to say thanks Melanie for the info and conversations you had about Hawthorn. I think this might be something that could help me too. My BP is just slightly on the high side once in a while but since both you and Darin say you have felt a difference in a few days and seem to have more pleasant restful sleep, I think I'll pick some up. Feeling better and good sleep can't ever be a bad thing. You and Darin and Cheryl are the backbone of this place so thank you all so much. :hugs:Thanks. Hawthorn helped my heart rate and BP years ago when it was outta the park. I can't remember about the dream part but I have a great big bottle, I may start taking them again.

Woke up 132.2 this morning, -.8 from yesterday. I feel firmly in ketosis so the fat fast did the trick. Didn't really have any water weight to lose, so happy with 1.8 pounds in 2 days. Hooray Casey!!!

I was wondering where Michelle has been too, although I know she was out of touch recently on the other board as well due to a family emergency. I don't think Janette has been back either actually!

Hahaha, it is SO FUNNY reading the NK thread at LCF.. about a week ago, a few people were like, "Wow, where IS everyone? Its understandable if people need a break, but 12 people dropped out all at once!"
Dying over here. Dying.

Yes, I have talked to Becky. Been a week or 2. She has a new job and I guess she is busy with that. I saw that she posted one time on LCF. Just a subscribing post. I sent her 2 invites to fatsecret. I will send her another one for here also. Maybe she will join us. I sure do miss her.

She was like a dozen people quit posting. I wish I could get hold of her, I would send her an invite too.

Oh wow, that was FAST, I already got warned. Here ya go:
Quote: I don't buy anything from Netrition. It is either junk you shouldn't be putting in your body no matter what kind of diet you follow, or you can get a better price elsewhere.

I got my Novamax Plus meter and have wasted 2 glucose test strips because I couldn't get enough blood. I'll try again later, my fingers are sore from being poked.

I've got 2 and I still haven't figured out how to use them! Okay, now I don't feel so dumb. I probably need to read the instructions more thoroughly. I did learn that the middle finger hurts the most when pricked and I get less blood from my index finger; probably because it's more calloused. The best finger for poking seems to be the ring finger. I'm going to see if I can find a video of how to do the testing. I'll post a link if I can find a good one.

This hurts the least and draws the most sufficient amount of blood for the strip. Never poke straight in to the pad, that hurts the worst!

Today's numbers: 1272 calories, 104 g fat, 64 g protein, 31 g carbs. ETA: whoops, I forgot to add a couple items and botched the numbers. Correction: 1430 calories, 113 g fat, 71 g protein, 43 g carbs, 11 g fiber. I made flax & almond flour buns and they were okay, but not really worth the calories or carbs. I've been disappointed with most recipes I've made with almond flour and don't plan to buy any more. Breakfast - coffee with hwc & coconut oil Lunch - cheeseburger on a flax & almond flour bun, 2 squares dark chocolate Dinner - plain greek yogurt, half an apple, cheddar cheese

I don't know why it got deleted! If you weren't looking at the username, you'd think NoLCJunk had written it. Very true. I think she is careful not to mention Netrition by name and I think she always avoids telling someone else not to use it. Her posts always struck me as preachy that way but that must have been how she avoided getting moderated. Well, that and whatever it was that made her immune to the moderation stick everyone else gets beat up with.

Has anyone taken Topamax and/or noticed any effects it had on ketosis? Had to take some last night.
