I have been consuming 2tbsp. Of CO for about a week now. I have intermittent chest pain and really didn't put two and two together until today. I decided to up my CO to 4tbsp today and I have been miserable since. I had my first cup this morning, and then had another cup of BPC in the afternoon. Now my pains are worse. Could I be allergic to it? I am beginning to think that CO is just not for me. I really wanted to reap the benefits of it, but it's looking like I am going to have to go with something else. What are your thoughts?

Hmmm.
I cannot recall hearing that particular symptom before concerning CO.
Maybe it is more about fat digestion? If you eat something really fatty do you get the least bit of heartburn or indigestion? If so then it is probably from low stomach acid. You can test it by drinking maybe a teaspoon of organic apple cider vinegar in some water. Google 'acv low stomach acid' for more complete instructions.
But, whatever the case may be, you could try MCT oil and see how that works. It is like a concentrated form of CO. Butter is a good alternative too since it has MCTs in it. Otherwise, sat and mono fats are fine to fill in your fats for the day.

I don't have my gallbladder and don't have problems with any other fats. I only had 1/2 tbsp today and my anxiety and irritated feelings are gone. I didn't realize how bad the CO was making me feel until today. For whatever reason, I just can't handle a big amount. I am subbing kerrygold butter for the CO in my BPC.

I believe you are having a 'die off' or Herxheimer reaction to the coconut oil. If you're carrying any bacteria, fungus etc the coconut oil will work on it. The toxic by products can cause lots of symptoms. I suggest you just use lower amounts of oil until you can tolerate a larger dose. Good Luck

Good Luck Good catch moxie! cfine, the first time I put CO in my coffee I put one tbs in and got a bit sick after a little bit. So I spent a week using 1 tsp for a few days, then 2 tsp for a few days and at the end of the week I went to 1 tbs and these days about 2oz or more. Without your GB it may take more time ramping up the CO. And you don't have to use tons like I do. I try to keep my calories fairly high and the CO helps me do that

I have backed down to 1/2tbsp per day and I feel much better on this amount.
