I would love to start up a challenge thread for June. I thought we could call it "Victory Junction"
A place we can all join together to celebrate our NK weight loss Victories.
The challenge to each of us is to post daily a positive NK or weight loss related experience that is not scale related. (If you cannot post everyday just jot them down and post them the next time you get online.) This could be anything you see as a positive weight loss situation or a positive way you dealt with a situation. A perfect example is Amanda just posted on the other thread that although the scale may not have moved her body is changing. She looked at the positive. It could be inches lost, not cheating when in a tempting situation or trying something new (like organ meats) . Newbies and lurkers welcome! Please join in.
We will have our positive experiences here together and we will be able to draw inspiration from them. So... Let the Challenge Begin....

Ha ha very funny Red! My positive is I had lost an inch on each thigh when I took my measurements. I was looking at my legs and I thought, WOW that is an inch around, but that is like the entire length of my thigh that I lost a possible inch. That is a lot of mass when you think of it that way. Ok, my thigh may only be a foot long since I am a shorty but still, that is pretty cool. OH and I lost 3/4 of an inch around my waist.

Awesome thread clueless! My victory today was staying on plan - I woke up this morning knowing what I wanted to get done and got it done! My to do list is all checked (well, gotta do a load of laundry still...but I always manage to get that done about 9p...) and feeling great about it! :clap:awesome victories on the previous posts! I look forward to reading this thread!

Mine for today was that I somehow (without having much energy at all thanks to my adrenals waking me up at 1:30am this morning for no reason at all ) managed to head out to the market early this morning, buy a HUGE 9 pound pork picnic roast, cook myself an awesome dinner with that, and then shredded the leftover meat up for use the rest of the week I wound up getting 2 huge containers of pulled pork out of the deal AND to make it even better, I added all the skin and bones back into the crockpot with some seasonings and broth and I'm going to have a MASSIVE pot of flavorful fatty stock to use in cooking or to make a soup out of. If it tastes good now at this stage, it's going to hopefully taste awesome when I wake up in the morning to turn it off... 12+ hour crockpot bone broth for the win!

I tried on a fitted trumpet skirt that I haven't worn in 4 years and it fit and was almost loose.

According to BMI scale I am no longer obese!!! My BMI is now 28.9 so to BMI creators everywhere, even though I do not necessarily agree with what you call obese. Now you can't call me obese any more!! HA HA!!!

I remember when I had my last victory over that silly scale... it doesn't even matter if you necessarily agree with it, it's still a great feeling when you beat their system! Congrats on the awesome milestone!

I know our victories aren't supposed to be scale victories, but can they still have something to DO with what we see on the scale? Because if so, I think my victory for the day should be that despite seeing myself bounce back up that pound this morning back to 146.5 like I'd been anticipating... I didn't let it ruin my day the way I normally would have. I just accepted it for what it was, reminded myself that I've been doing a really good job and it probably has NOTHING to do with something I'd done yesterday, and went on with my day. It was kind of nice

Today's victory for me was finally trying on my new shorts I bought from Old Navy and feeling good in them! I'm not 100% happy obviously, but I've NEVER been comfortable in shorts that weren't at knee level or higher. But today I was rocking my size 2's in style. Errr... well, sorta style I guess. I AM wearing a geeky headset after all. In a bathroom that has a very dirty mirror

I can get my interim goal pants over my hips now, and zip them up. They are still too tight to wear comfortably, but I think I'll be there in another 5 lbs. They are 100% cotton denim with no stretch. I also wore a knit shirt today that was too tight before I started NK and fits comfortably now.

I have never been able to wear Levis even when I was slim. I have a ridiculous waist to hip ratio - no matter what I weigh, my hips are always 12-14 inches bigger than my waist.

Yesterday this girl at work brought peanut brittle and some mixed miniature candy bars and offered them to me AND put them in the common area of the main floor offices for people to help themselves. My victory is that if they're gone today, it wasn't my doing lol

Wow, been MIA a few days and playing catch up and reading this thread makes me so happy for everyone, LOVE it! I have just taken my supplements and heading to my 2nd bottle of water. I have been cheese free for 4 days now - on day 5! For June I'm cutting cheese out as it seems to be something I'm struggling to keep "under control" for portion sizes so figure if I stop eating it for one month that will help me reduce it moving forward, mainly the issue was/is cream cheese...it's just too damn delicious but eating box by box...hmmm, can't see how that was moving me forward in my fat loss goals so proud of myself today for NO cheese WOOO!

My victory today came from my mirror. LOL, we don't mention that too often as a way of measuring our weight loss. I happened to walk by a mirror in my house and had to back up and take a double take. I was like... :dance:Where the heck is the rest of me. I know it was there the other day. For some reason today there is a noticeable difference! My husband and my kids also mentioned it.
