There are two new videos uploaded with my favorite ketogenic authors I thought you might enjoy watching. They were some of the speakers at the subject seminar this past August. Prof. Tim Noakes - 'Medical aspects of the low carbohydrate lifestyle' Professor Timothy Noakes (born 1949) is a South African professor of exercise and sports science at the University of Cape Town. He has run more than 70 marathons and ultramarathons and is the author of several books on exercise and diet. Dr. Stephen Phinney - 'The Art and Science of Low Carb Living and Performance' Steve Phinney is a physician-scientist who has spent 35 years studying diet, exercise, fatty acids, and inflammation. He has held academic positions at the Universities of Vermont, Minnesota, and California at Davis, as well as leadership positions at Monsanto, Galileo Laboratories, and Efficas. Dr Phinney had a second slot so here is his other video - Dr. Stephen Phinney - 'Achieving and Maintaining Nutritional Ketosis' There is a write up from someone that attended it. You can read it HERE. Perhaps this wave of NK will be grabbing others along the path to wellness? I sure hope so. Let me know what you think!! KK

That's kind of like my re-reading of the opening post for the main forum each month. I am really thankful Darin took so much time to write that for us. It helps me remember and I pick up new things.

Wow, thanks so much for posting this! Watched the Dr. Noakes video today, and I'm looking forward to watching the Dr. Phinney videos tonight or tomorrow.
My husband has atrial fibrilation, so I found it very interesting that he listed that among the problems that had been cured for his example patient. I've also heard/read somewhere that the author of Wheat Belly gets lots of letters from people telling him about how their lives have changed by giving up wheat, and atrial fibrilation was one of the kind of unexpected things that disappeared for some people after giving up wheat. My husband has tried to go low carb a few times, but he gets discouraged because he feels that he cannot exercise as long or as hard when he's LC. I think if he stuck with it long enough to become really keto-adapted it would be fine. I'll send that video to him, maybe it would help with the motivation.

Actually I think that second video would be of more interest to my hubby, since he talks about low-carb and athletic performance. Thanks again!
