Hi all, glad to see the forum back up this mornining.
Storytha, motivation to stick to the protocol is paramont in HCG. By the by, if you decide to try it sometime, I have many friends who have used the drops or the pellets with great success and the cost isn't quite so high as you mention.
Cheryl--EFT (tapping) can do wonders. Like sticking to a way-of-eating, one must stick to it to gain its benefits.
I've been having control issues myself while at my mom's again. Days I feel like a hamster on a wheel as far as that goes. I am sure I could use tapping to great benefit on the that and I find myself thinking it is "one more thing" which right now is a signal that I ain't doing it. I am going to California for some training which means my entire schedule of living will be changed from Sunday through Friday. That is all good! I've arranged all my mom's care during my absence and have a busy work schedule this week running up to leaving on Sunday. I did manage a complete day of on-target eating yesterday. I gave up my place in the 120s in the past few days and was glad to see 131.6 this morning. Eating LCHF means I can go hours without eating and not feel hungry which is great for travelling. I've already looked up grocers around the hotel I am staying at so I gather what I want to stay LCHF.

It would be so wonderful to kick these allergies without meds and lose this weight. I feel a little hopeful. Hope your trip will be a pleasant little vacation even though it isn't really a vacation. Sometimes a little get away can be good.

Thanks rejoicealways8 and @bunniee. I think I will wait until July and probably do more research. That price was from only one clinic. I bet I could shop around. Yesterday went well for "getting back on the horse" except I felt very hungry a few times. Glad I was busy at work to not eat badly. By the time I got off work, shopped, and cooked I was starved and piled a large portion of Chicken on my plate. But after eating a few bites I felt done. I purposely ate more but only got about 2 oz. Weird. Will feel good getting back into ketosis so I won't feel hungry. Weird thing-my joints don’t hurt today. I know one day NK shouldn’t affect me this quickly. Maybe it’s psychosomatic. I do know I’ve got a spring in my step today. Yesterday’s numbers: Cals 1182 Fat 69.24 Prot 77.56 Carbs 35.48 B- Coffee w. HWC & CO L- Grilled cod, slice of tomato, ¼ hamburger bun D- Chicken, asparagus, hollandaise sauce. S- protein shake, mixed nuts Mindless ate the mixed nuts at 11pm but doesn’t seem to have affected my weigh in. -2.6# water weight.

I'm having PMS type symptoms but TOM hasn't shown up yet. I've been eating moderate carb but low calorie the last few days. My gut feels a little better today. I think the magnesium oxide supplement I got may not agree with me, plus the hormonal stuff doesn't help. I was using magnesium citrate before, and only had issues with it if I used a higher dose. I tried EFT a few years ago, but did not stick with it long enough to see if it helped. I found it difficult to do the tapping session during the work day because there was no place I could go to do it in private. If I can find my Paul McKenna CD I might give it another try, maybe early in the morning before work.

I couldn’t feel full last night. So hungry before dinner (while it was cooking) I ate nuts then prowled the kitchen most of the night. I settled on cheese which wasn’t bad.
Cals: 1284 Fat 85.60 Carbs: 45.56 Prot: 54.72
B- Coffee w/ HWC & CO, cheese burger (1/4 bun), diet coke L- roast beef, arby’s sauce D- LC-ish pepperoni pizza S- mixed nuts, babybel WI: 286.6 for -0.4# (Surprised at small amount)
Feet and ankles are swollen. I think it’s hormone related-been forgetting my pills. I’m pretty sure I’ll have a big whoosh by Friday. Joints still feeling better. Forgot to walk yesterday.

My Wednesday's numbers look pretty close to perfect:
Cals 1323 Fat 73.92 Carbs 43.07 Prot 92.54
B- babybel L- Salad bar w/ ham, cheese, & egg D- chicken taco S- protein shake, cheddar cheese
WI: forgot, but ankles not as swollen so I'd bet it was a loss.
Last day of school for my kiddos. We should try to do something fun this weekend. Joints still feeling better. Except the shoulder, but then again I hefted 3 huge boxes over my head yesterday.

And I can't believe I ate the whole taco bowl shell. Usually I can nibble on 1/3 and walk away. Oh well, I ended the day under due to dinner. I was originally thinking of taking the kids out to dinner (DH @ work) but wasn't convinced that I could control the carbs enough. Maybe tonight. Happy Friday!

Hi everybody. Seems we are all turning the ship a little in the directions we want to go. I had a speaking engagement yesterday with a 3-hour drive to and from. All good. Today is a lay-low day to re-energize. Didn't bring the scale home yesterday so my plan is to weigh tomorrow morning because I will be at Mom's tonight. I am doing okay on food but am not tracking anything at the moment.

That eft is pretty awesome. Like Lisa, I had tried it years ago but didn't really get it to work. Now with YouTube eft seemed to click and it was easier to figure out what I needed to do. So far my allergies seem to be responding well but it has only been a few days, fingers crossed it works for me. Something I can tell right away though is it has helped me stop craving chips. It has been 2 days that I haven't craved them at all. I usually want chips all the time, anytime. I bought 2 big bags and told myself I could have them if I want them. I ate some a few days ago but they tasted funny. Since then I haven't wanted them. Hope that keeps up too.
Pam, glad you get a day to recharge. Enjoy!

Kerrygold butter is sure helping my dd with her healing. One of the teeth was growing into the nerve canal so it made it a more painful extraction. There was some possibility of nerve damage but she seems fine. Good thing we got it out when we did. It was causing a tooth in the front to push up and she had noticed the too the becoming loose. That nerve comes up thru a hole in the skull under the bottom teeth. We already spent a ton on braces so we didn't want any problems.

TOM finally showed up and I'm starting to feel less bloated. I can control my appetite better when hormones are not all out of whack, so next week should go much better.

We had an impromptu game night. The various kids play in their rooms or down stairs on the Wii and the adults play games like Cards Against Humanity and drink wine. We served steak and grilled asparagus. DH bought chips and cookies. Luckily he told me before lunch so I could limit my carbs. I was really worried i'd go over but really did well. So proud. Slept in until 11 this morning. Weigh in was late but -1.4# 282.2. Feeling constipated so will take something for that today.
B-babybel L- double cheeseburger, 1/4 bun D- steak, asparagus, capris salad, red wine S- dill pickles
Cals 1230 fat 54.91 carbs 33.10 prot 59.87

Yea Storytha!
I have eaten a lot of food today though all of the appropriate kinds. Ready to be gone from the normal routine starting tomorrow through Friday. Being at a hotel Sunday through Thursday nights and then flying redeye on Friday night means I won't be in any kitchens. That will be good.

I've decided to ditch the no-dairy experiment. It isn't helping with weight loss and I don't feel better without it - no change in hayfever symptoms or anything like that. I figure I have enough food restrictions just eating low carb. I am trying to get back into JUDDD rotations and managed a 600 calorie day on Saturday. This morning I ate almost that much at breakfast.

Happy Sunday my friends! Happy Fathers Day! I forgot to log in yesterday so here are Saturday's numbers.
Cals 783 Fat 42.91 Carbs 25.56 Prot 40.43
B black olives & diet coke L ham, cheese D- cucumber, ranch, cottage cheese, 2"X2" french bread pizza. S. hard boiled egg
WITH: 282.2 for -1.4# loss.
Was very stationary all day.
Sunday's numbers: cals:1048 Fat 58.32 Carbs 49.05 Prot 54.63
B coffee w/ HWC & CO, cheese L Mediterranean salad w/ chicken D Chinese food: egg drop soup, 1/2 egg roll, 1/3 cup pork fried rice, bbq pork appetiser
WI 280.6 for -1.6# loss. For a total weekly weight loss of -9.0#. I think 4-5# water weight.
I'm hoping the fat secret food log is close for the Chinese food carbs. It was DH's choice for Fathers Day dinner. If not, I won't see the scale rebound until Tuesday morning. I'm not going to count it as an official cheat because I really tried to crunch the numbers before eating it.
Have a good night!

So out here in California which means I am up super early by Pacific time. I bought cream cheese for dinner at the store. Also purchased coffee supplies because the room doesn't have a coffee maker. I actually bought one! Even if I leave it here, which I probably will I come out ahead on the expense. I was up at 4 a.m. here (6 a.m. at home) and could make coffee all I want. And can have tea at night. And made my gelatin stuff, too.
Storytha! Way to go! You're doing it!
Glad you are improving Cheryl. Still tapping?
Bunnliee, I bet you are enjoying some dairy today.
I love being disconnected from feelings of hunger since adopting a LCHF way of eating. Well, still on my free trial for Daily Burn which I haven't done for a few days. Best get to it.

Hi Everyone! Missed you guys! I had a friend visiting from out of town, so I was busy getting the house cleaned up, and then busy enjoying her company and showing her some of the local sights. I didn't exercise at all while she was here, so I really need to get back into the groove today. For the most part, though, I did ok on my food. I had one big indulgence on Saturday evening, and I was not as successful getting back on track yesterday as I'd hoped. So here's hoping today is better!
Pam, hope you're having a great time in LA! Cheryl, I sure hope your daughter feels better soon. Dental work is. . . . .just yuck.

Hi. I already posted Sunday’s numbers but the weigh in today was 281.4 for a +0.8# increase. Wow, I must have done more damage on Saturday than I remember. It takes me 2 days to show a gain. Maybe the red wine? I do know I didn’t eat the cookies or chips so going over carbs on NK approved foods is better than nothing. Oh well, 3 days to recover starting now. I actually woke up not feeling hungry at all, we’ll see how the day goes. Guess you just can’t have -9.0# in 7 days and not have a small backlash. Hope you all have a wonderful Monday. Edit: My sleep was off all weekend. Slept in Sat until 11:15a and Sun until 10:30a but stayed up Sunday night until 1:00a and woke this morning at 6:00 so yeah, thinking wacky sleep patterns not helping here.

Glad to see you back gretalyn, sounds like a great visit. It is near impossible to get in exercise when you have people visiting. Pam, good call buying a coffee maker. I gots ta have my coffee and it is hard to find a good cup of coffee. Yes I am still tapping and my allergies are responding pretty darn well. We had a little family get together Saturday and they acted up a little but got them back under control. Also has seemed to erase my craving for chips and salty foods. I left a bag of chips sitting next to my desk for days and told myself I could have them whenever I wanted them. I never opened them. DH finally put them in the cabinet last night to get them outta the way. Amazing, I have been addicted to chips as long as I can remember.

Could be from not sleeping much last night.

I had a bit of cheese yesterday but forgot to buy cream for coffee. Today is a down day in my rotation and all I've had is black coffee, protein shake, and a Quest bar. I will drink a cup of broth this evening and that will be it. Looking forward to tomorrow when I can Eat All The Things.
I'm re-reading Krista Varady's book to get back into the alternate day fasting mindset. One of the interesting things that came out of her research is that weight loss was almost entirely fat loss - dieters maintained nearly all of their lean body mass. She also mentions that dieters who ate higher fat on the modified fast days also lost more weight and had an easier time sticking to the regimen.

Glad to see you back gretalyn, sounds like a great visit. It is near impossible to get in exercise when you have people visiting. Yeah, it's not like you can leave a guest sitting home alone and run off to the gym! So I considered this to be a very rare thing: a legitimate excuse not to exercise.

Have had coffee with coconut oil, a Cobb salad I picked through at lunch, now about to meet my fellow attendees (only six of us) for dinner. I actually want to go out for a walk, really, and head back to the store but doing this is a better choice...honestly I've had enough togetherness today. Get to coach myself through looking for something more impactful than a couple of hours to myself.
I was up at 4 a.m. this morning so if I want to go to the store and the walk I can do it early morning. We don't meet until 9....Not that I'll go out at 4. I will wait until light comes.
Hope YOU"ve had a good day.
Cheers! Pam
