And though the focus of the article is saturated fats, there are a few good paragraphs about carbs too. And in fact, this article dares to say something that few do: that unrefined carbs like whole grains and fruits are fundamentally the same as refined carbs: it's all glucose and fructose in your bloodstream.

Great article. I especially like the reference to lower TChol being implicated in cardiovascular events in women, in the latter part of it. I remember reading some research to that effect somewhere. I wish I could find the reference, because when I mention such heresy on another nutritional website I frequent, it always creates hysteria and bashing. Good to know I didn't just imagine it after all!
