182.2. For all the fusing and fuming about Olive Garden yesterday, someone out there felt sorry for me and let me lose. I've been exhausted a lot lately. Part of the diet perhaps? Or just having a lazy streak? Did minimal exercising today. Just walked for about 2 miles. No strength training. Proud to say I bought a pair of Ladies jeans. Not mens nor womens. Size 16. Haven't seen that number in a long long long time. Like several decades and then some. Curious though. Last time I wore a 16 I weighed around 150. I'm 182 and in a 16. When I tried on the 18 I thought, there's no way I'll get my arse into these and they were too big. Thought the same about the 16's. But they fit. Actually giddy with delight. Kiddo said I'm smaller then I think.

didn't measure foods yesterday but def hit 90g prot; WI this morning 179 yay! super busy at work keeping me from snacking so that's a plus! hoping to get a good strength workout this eve at home with my SO (he wants to do plyo...ugg, but hoping for just doing tons of squats and maybe deadlifts). tried to find kerrygold butter at the Sams club their website lists as the only place in my town to purchase. they had no idea what i was talking about and couldn't find the product, awesome. figure i will check their website again and perhaps write them to see if there is any other place in town. realllly want to try that stuff!! had 2 eggs for breakfast with 2.2 oz rib eye. coffee/hwc since then. brought in 3oz rib eye for lunch haven't eaten it yet. expecting to see a smidge down on scale tomorrow so that will be good. have a great hump day y'all!!

Kiddo said I'm smaller then I think. Congrats on the new jeans! Clothing sizes have definitely changed over the years. I wore size 6 jeans back in the 80s, when I weighed 105 lbs. If I ever got that small again, I'd probably be wearing size 2 or even zero. If you look at ladies dress sizes for sewing patterns, those have not changed in probably 30 or 40 years, and are much larger than ready to wear clothing in stores. I started NK in a size 16 at 200 lbs, but they were stretch jeans. I can finally fit into non-stretch size 14 pants again. I'm 5'2" and it takes a 15-20 lb loss for me to be able to go down a clothing size.

Price shop them with Amazon before you order it

Good grief man... how many times will I have to go through this? Sheesh. Does this happen whenever a person exceeds their carb limit?

Good grief man... how many times will I have to go through this? Sheesh. Does this happen whenever a person exceeds their carb limit? lol I am mentally worn out today! I blame my HIT workout. But that is a good question. The answer is no, not unless you are way off plan for some period of time and part of whether or not there'd be a new transition period has to do with how quickly your body reverts back to preferring glucose to fat for fuel. Typically, transitioning back to being a glucose burner is very fast, much faster than becoming a fat for fuel NK'r. If you've become keto-adapted and you have a carby day it may take you three to five days to become re-adapted. A few days or more spent carbing it up will probably mean another two to four week period making the shift back to NK level adaptation. A minor excursion into carb land, like an apple or something probably won't derail you at all as long as it is not habitual. As far as NK goes, were you testing BK, it probably would zap your BK levels temporarily.

Oh. I tweaked the intro to next month's thread and added a block on exercise. I know a lot of you are doing cardio and various exercise routines. I'm not beating you up. I promise. If you like whatever you are doing then do it. Exercise is for health not weight loss. So don't take my recommendation for strength training as anything other than an emphatic recommendation for strength training. My opinion has always been that strength training is the only type of training that could be beneficial for weight loss I just never have put it in one of my intros before although I have said it a zillion times in the monthly threads since time immemorial.
