I just realized something. I don't get breast soreness anymore before or during TOM. I swear they used to feel like lead balloons, it was so uncomfortable and hurt to take off my bra. Not sure if it has to do with the change in diet or getting older, but it is nice!

I took Borage oil for a while and that helped but then stopped and it came back. Since adding flax I have no trouble.

reepicheep1981, do start slow, @bunniee and I made ourselves sick to begin with. I like the flax wraps and was glad to have a bread like thing to eat. I ate too much of it to begin with and had stomach issues. Lisa had some issues too if I remember right. It was worth eating it but I had to lay off for a while. I don't eat it every day any more, a few days a week and I still seem to be getting plenty of benefits from it as far as TOM.

Update: I'm on day three of one tsp of flax a day. It does appear to be helping with the tenderness in my breasts a bit and other than getting light headed (well... honestly the room was actually spinning last night... which could be due to excess sodium/msg or congestion) I don't think I'm having any negative side effects.
On a sort of related note, flax meal isn't really very tasty mixed with sweet things. Lol

Flax wrap is yummy with peanut and bacon. @bunniee turned me on to that. Yum!

Well TOM came a week early again but no pms whatsoever. Seems my only indicator is weight gain. For the last 3 months my cycle has been between 20 and 22 days.

My period should arrive in a week but who knows if it will show up on time. I'd better get back on the flax starting tomorrow. I have peanut butter and bacon, so no excuses.

The cat wants to lay on my chest at night, and I have to push her off because it's just too painful. I'm glad I kept my old bras because it hurts to wear the new ones.

TOM has come again. Day 19 this time. I figured that was the cause of my bump this morning. On a positive note my bump was a tad lower so far and I don't have any PMS or cramps. I was starving all day yesterday. I have been having my period every 19 to 21 days since September.

TOM hasn't arrived but I am having my third ocular migraine this week. I used to get them the week before my period but usually only 1. Third one this week and the last one made me sick. Usually they go away without a headache if I take something soon after it begins. I have also gained weight especially in my tummy and thighs.

I have allergy symptoms but they are fairly mild. TOM should be showing up for me this weekend. I haven't weighed in this week but I'm feeling some PMS bloat and my bras feel tight. So glad I kept my old bra, I'd rather be comfortable right now.

Having my first TOM in 6 months. No PMS symptoms. I'm taking my pills. Wondering if this is contributing to my depression/anxiety recently? Must admit, I sure didn't miss it. Oh well.

This is the first time since July that my period has not come early. I stopped flax and progesterone cream as a little experiment to see if my period would regular I am thinking the flax was making my cycles short. I started the flax in July. I started the progesterone cream in September. I haven't gotten my period yet but I do have bloating and some cramps already. When I eat flax I have minimal weight gain and NO cramps. Could just be a coincidence as I had my 2 periods only 14 days apart in January.

So I seem to be getting closer to menopause. I did not have a period from January to March, but then it reappeared the first week of April (no chance in Hades that I could be pregnant). I was kind of disappointed, because I'm ready for this to be over! I've been slacking off on eating flax meal, but not sure if I need it anymore. Maybe I'll add one serving a week and see how it goes.

Well first TOM since mid January. This time it is a definite full TOM. Last few have been light and last 3 days tops. Of course it is the week DH and I are going out of town on a romantic evening with Dinner and a Play in wine country. PMS was limited to slight breast soreness which is better than the flat out stabbing pain I used to get. No real cravings (yay).

If you are not getting your period a sure fire cure is to plan a get away.

I'm waiting to see if TOM shows up this month. I didn't have a period in April, but I've been feeling bloated and PMS-y the last few days.

So I guess my body isn't ready for menopause yet. I had a regular period in June, and a light one this month. I am noticing fewer PMS symptoms now, although that could change. It feels kind of ridiculous to still experience TOM after 50.

WOW, all last year I struggled with having my period every 2 or 3 weeks. Haven't had in in a few months now. I did have the hot flashes for a week or 2 but I did eft for them and they are gone. The biggest surprise is that my boobs are getting huge. I never knew that happened with menopause. And I also feel great, never knew that either. lol

I haven't experienced hot flashes yet, just irregular periods and moodiness. The vitamins and amino acid supplements I take help a lot with the anxiety and depression. I should look into doing EFT too. I've lost nearly 40 lbs and it seems like my boobs have hardly shrunk. I was wearing the wrong bra size before though. This calculator is great, I finally have bras that fit properly: www.brasizecalculator.tk/

I only tapped about them 1 time not really thinking much about it. Several days later I realized the hot flashes were gone. I am still tapping about my seasonal allergies several times a week, I have a stuffy nose most morning but after tapping a few minutes it usually goes away. I haven't taken any allergy meds since I started tapping. Still haven't had any sneezing attacks either. The tree pollens have been particularly bad this year. Thank you so much for posting that calculator!!!!!!! I am down to one bra that I can wear so I am going shopping this weekend.

Got my period today. I have been back on LC a week yesterday. I can't help but wonder if LC screws with my hormones. I had an ocular migraine yesterday. I was having them all the time back when I was having my periods every 2 to 3 weeks. I usually had an OC for a few days before I got my period and sometimes during my period.

I came across an interesting study about the effect of St. John's Wort and vitex (chasteberry) herbs on women in perimenopause. I'm already taking SJW and have added vitex to my list of supplements. Vitex is slow acting, so it may take a few cycles before I see results. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19757982

Interesting @bunniee. I took SJW for a while for depression. Didn't really work for me. But being in extremely early onset perimenapausal (I'm 42) it might help me now. I probably got a LONG way to go with this crap.

I probably got a LONG way to go with this crap. It's weird, I didn't think SJW was doing much for me but noticed a worsening of mood and depression when I stopped taking it. I also don't see much benefit from SJW alone, I have to take other supplements with it like DLPA and zinc. Maybe they are synergistic.
