I find this forum slow loading, but it might be the hotel internet. Mind you i tested on fatsecret and LCF too and they were fast.. Anyone else find them slow or just me? Not just you, it does seem to load slower at times... I was thinking maybe I was just impatient though ) I've had a couple "server down" errors too pop up occasionally, but it seems like the site is always back up fairly quickly... so that's a good thing!

My Problem is the DSL. It goes down every 5 minutes. We have called 7 times in the last week and a half. Now they say there is too much congestion on the line and it will be the middle of June before they get it fixed. UMMMM! WHAT? May be time to find a new provider!

Well, that sounds like they are upgrading the Central Office (the building where all the phone lines come into for a given (small) geographic area. A phone line can't be congested but the switch in the CO that handles phone traffic can become overwhelmed. Probably it is worth waiting the 3 weeks or so for them to fix the problem because it almost certainly means upgraded equipment in the CO and that should mean the best DSL service you've had since you've had it.

You know you've been NK for too long when you start wondering why someone's telling you there are switches in coconut oil

I got a posting error earlier today, but when I checked back it showed up. Not sure if it was my internet connection or a glitch on the forum.

It showed that I was not logged in. I logged back in, tried to post and don't recall what error it showed next. I closed the tab and reopened the forum, and then my post showed up. I'm using Chrome.

Was it a 'no data' error? What browser do you use Lisa? It showed that I was not logged in. I logged back in, tried to post and don't recall what error it showed next. I closed the tab and reopened the forum, and then my post showed up. I'm using Chrome. Let me say this first - I love Chrome. It is my primary browser and has been since Google went live with it. So, I am not bashing Chrome when I say... This is a problem with Chrome, not the site. Chrome does not handle certain network situations the way all other browsers do (per one of the support people that host this forum) and that is the cause of the No Data error. They are actively working to fix it but I don't think Google is actively trying to help them fix it. Chrome is a little bit buggy. When that no data thing happens, if I was posting something, I usually open the thread in a new tab to see if the post went through. If it did no worries, if it didn't I use the back arrow and post again. If you accidentally post the same thing several times you can delete the extra posts you've made yourself. I'll delete them if I see them and I'll leave the last one intact. So if there are 3 duplicates, scrolling downwards, I will delete 1 and 2 and leave the 3rd. I hope that isn't too confusing but that way if we are both deleting the extra posts we don't cross wires and delete them all.
